Mukesh Ambani is one of the richest people in the world with a net worth of $117.5 billion, according to Forbes. He leads Reliance Industries, a company founded by his father, Dhirubhai Ambani. Reliance is one of India's largest companies, with significant operations in various sectors. Many people might assume that Mukesh Ambani or one of his immediate family members, like his wife Nita Ambani or their children Isha, Akash, and Anant, hold the largest share in Reliance. However, this is not the case.

The person with the largest individual stake in Reliance is actually Kokilaben Ambani, Mukesh Ambani's mother and the wife of the late Dhirubhai Ambani.

According to reports, Kokilaben Ambani owns 1,57,41,322 shares, which amounts to a 0.24% stake in the company. In comparison, Mukesh Ambani's three children, Akash, Isha, and Anant, each hold 80,52,021 shares, making up about 0.12% each.

The Ambani family, as the promoter group of Reliance Industries, holds a total of 50.39% of the company's shares. The rest, 49.61%, is held by public shareholders, including foreign institutional investors (FII) and corporate bodies.

Some media reports estimate Kokilaben Ambani's net worth to be around Rs 18,000 crore, highlighting her financial strength.
