IND vs SA Highlights: South Africa defeated India by 5 wickets to take 1-0 lead
India suffered an early setback when Marco Jansen dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal on the third ball of the match. South Africa had won the toss and elected to bowl. Jaiswal was chosen over Ruturaj Gaikwad, who was unable to play due to illness. In the bowling department, Mohammed Siraj leads the pace attack, supported by Arshdeep Singh and Mukesh Kumar.
Unfortunately, the first match of the series was washed out due to heavy rain in Durban on Sunday. The weather forecast predicts rain for today's match as well. Despite the challenging conditions, Suryakumar Yadav and his team will be determined to replicate their outstanding performance in the T20Is against Australia.
Stubbs is on strike now. He attempts a reverse sweep, but unfortunately, it results in a top edge and dribbles away for a four. Jadeja delivers a short ball, and Phehlukwayo seizes the opportunity to launch it over the leg side fence for a magnificent six, ultimately securing the victory for his team.

Markram effortlessly guides the ball towards the mid-wicket fence. FOUR! Mukesh, now delivering a full-length ball, faces the wrath of Markram's powerful stroke as it soars over mid-on for yet another four. Not content with his previous shots, Markram showcases his prowess once more, crashing a length ball through the covers with sheer precision.
Hendricks skillfully pushes the ball towards the leg side. Breeztke, recognizing an opportunity, calls for a double and swiftly starts running. However, Hendricks' running technique falters, resulting in him being caught far away from the crease.
Arshdeep delivers a ball on the pads, which Breetzke elegantly flicks away for the first six runs of the innings. Once again, the ball lands on the pads, and Hendricks skillfully clips it off, resulting in another boundary for South Africa.
A well-pitched length ball comes towards Hendricks, who swings his bat with immense power. The ball soars high into the sky, clearing the boundaries with absolute authority.

Siraj, now delivering a fuller length, allows Hendricks to elegantly execute a cover drive. Another four runs are effortlessly added to the scoreboard!
Aiden Markram takes charge of the attack. The first three balls yield four runs. Rinku, determined to execute another reverse sweep, is left flummoxed as he fails to connect with the ball. It appears that he might be caught out, but he decides to challenge the decision by requesting a review. He survives
Full and Suryakumar elegantly drives the ball on the up, sending it past the fielder at extra cover for a boundary! Six! A truly classic Suryakumar shot. The bowler delivers a back-of-the-length ball, and Suryakumar skillfully scoops it over the fielder at fine leg.
Jansen delivers the ball on the pads, and Tilak effortlessly lifts it over square leg for a magnificent six! Continuing his momentum, Jansen bowls a poorly executed half-tracker outside off, and Tilak seizes the opportunity, smashing it over point for a boundary of four runs. Jansen aims for the pads again, providing a full-length delivery, and Tilak elegantly flicks it towards square leg, securing another four runs to conclude the over.

Aiden Markram: We are going to bowl first, been under the covers for most of the day, so I would assume it would move around a bit. Each game becomes important for us to fine tune things before the 2024 T20 WC, hopefully we can start well today. From my point of view it's about understanding if someone needs a rest. No debuts today.
SKY: Very happy to be here and happy to know there's some cricket around. We were confused what to do, but now we are very happy to bat first. It's an opportunity for everyone playing this game. World Cup is still 5-6 months away. Just enjoy yourself is the message to the team.
