Rishabh Pant’s batting ability in recent times has seen him displaying consistency and audacity to succeed at the highest level. After consistently scoring runs in Test cricket, Pant found success in limited-overs cricket, too, in the recent series against England.

Rishabh Pant’s first ODI slammed a 40-ball 77. The 23-year old helped KL Rahul add 113 runs in 80 deliveries to help take India to 336 in 50 overs.

In the third ODI of the series decider, Pant played in a similar fashion. The keeper-batsman attacked the opposition and added 99 runs in 73 balls with Hardik Pandya and top-scored with 78 off 62 deliveries, consisting of five fours and four sixes. It gave India 329 to defend and they won by seven runs to take the series.

So while fans enjoyed the Delhi Capitals (DC) player's knocks, a look at some of his unique playing stance with which he slammed the England bowlers.

Rishabh Pant's contributions with the bat helped India win the series five-match T20I series 3-2. Virendra Sehwag feels he is the biggest positive that has come out of the series for India.

"The biggest positive that has come out of the series is Rishabh Pant," Sehwag had told Cricbuzz. "Because when he comes to bat in the middle overs in the ODIs, and the 2nd powerplay comes up, he uses it perfectly," he added.

Former India cricketer Virender Sehwag also said about Rishabh Pant, "I feel it is important for him to stay in this team, he has quite a positive mindset. He reminds me of my early days. He doesn't think much what others are saying, he just goes out to bat".

But Sehwag feels that Pant needs to learn how to convert the 70s and 80s into big hundreds.

Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra has called Rishabh Pant a 'special player' for being consistent despite taking risks. Talking on Star Sports network, Chopra said that the youngster takes 'a bit too much risk' which is his strength.

"He plays in this fashion and will continue doing so. We all feel that he takes a bit too much risk but that is his strength and style of play and if you stick to that and despite that if you are consistent, it means you are a special player," said Chopra.

Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq too praised Rishabh Pant, saying the wicketkeeper-batsman was the difference between India and England.

"What a player he is. After a long time, I’ve seen such a player who plays so much better than you think he would," said Inzamam in a video posted on his YouTube channel.

"I've been following him since the India tour of Australia. He doesn’t seem like playing under pressure. Even in Australia, when all the seniors were out with injuries, his effortless batting at the middle-order made it look as if India haven’t lost any wicket or they aren't playing on Australian soil.

"Earlier, players used to struggle while playing Down Under but Pant is not bothered at all. Earlier in the 70's era, Vivian Richards used to be the difference between West Indies and any other side. Similarly, Pant was the difference between India and England," he added.
