IPL 2019 CSK vs DC: Chennai Super Kings beat Delhi Capitals by 6 wickets, enter 8th IPL final - in pictures

IPL 2019 CSK vs DC: MS Dhoni made the right call at the toss and elected to field first. Shreyas Iyer said that he would have batted first anyway. CSK made one change to their side bringing in an extra bowler in the form of Shardul Thakur in place of M Vijay. Delhi, meanwhile, fielded an unchanged side.

Delhi Capitals kept losing regular wickets- Dwyane Bravo got rid of Axar Patel and Keemo Paul while Harbhajan Singh got the wicket of Sherfane Rutherford. Axar Patel departed in the 13th over, hitting a short delivery of Bravo straight to Tahir at third man. (Image: AFP)

Ishant Sharma (10 not out off 3 balls) and Amit Mishra (6 not out) and used their long handles to great effect and struck some lusty blows to take Delhi to 147 for 9. 

Chennai made a nervous start with both Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis finding it hard to get going. However, Faf soon got his groove on and went after the bowling attack. Faf departed after getting his half-century. However, Watson kept attacking the bowlers. He too departed for 50. (Image: PTI)

Suresh Raina gave away his wicket after scoring just 11 runs. Ambati Rayudu and MS Dhoni played steadily and added another 19 runs on the scoreboard. In the 19th over, Dhoni tried to finish off the match by hitting a six but gave away an easy catch to Keemo Paul off Ishant Sharma delivery.
