Nepal men's cricket team scripted history at the ongoing Asian Games cricket tournament in Hangzhou, China smashing three records against Mongolia. Batters from the cricket minnow smashed the fastest fifty and the fastest hundred records for T20I. Nepal also scored the highest score for a team in T20I history and became the first team to score more than 300 runs in T20 history.

Batter Dipendra Singh Airee broke India legend Yuvraj Singh's record of fastest fifty in T20Is off 10 balls. He hit 6 sixes and ended with 52 in 10 balls, also taking home the record for the best T20I strike rate of 520.

Kushal Malla broke the 35-ball century record held by India skipper Rohit Sharma and South Africa's David Miller with a ton in 34 balls. He ended with 137 in 50 balls, hitting 12 sixes and 8 fours.

Nepal put a total of 314/3 on the board in 20 overs. They now overtake Afghanistan as the team with the highest score in T20Is. Afghans had scored 278/3 against Ireland back in 2019.

Another record broken was highest sixes in a single T20I innings as Nepal batters smashed a total of 26 maximums, again toppling Afghanistan who had hit 22.
