'It was goosebumps moment': Yusuf Pathan reveals his most memorable moment from India's 2011 World Cup-winning night

Team India on April 2 celebrated the 9-year anniversary of lifting the 2011 ICC World Cup. "And Dhoni finishes off in style! A magnificent strike into the crowd. India lift the World Cup after 28 years!" This sentence is still hitched in the minds of every Indian.
It took India 28 years to win their second ICC World Cup trophy and the most is that it took place in their own backyard at the Wankhede stadium.
Skipper MS Dhoni’s huge six to finish the game will always be remembered as Shastri's high-pitched tone said, "Remember the name". The day, April 2, 2011, is still clear - from Shastri's commentary to Dhoni's six or Lasith Malinga's opening burst.
Yusuf Pathan, who was a key member of the Men In Blue squad, recalled his favourite World Cup-winning moment.
The star allrounder claimed that lifting Sachin Tendulkar on his shoulder after the win made the event much more memorable.
Yusuf, while responding to Sachin's WC post on Twitter, said: "Indeed Sachin paaji! It was goosebumps moment for me especially to lift you on my shoulders and that made the night more memorable for me and the entire nation," Yusuf tweeted while replying to Tendulkar."

When you think about the match, it didn't start on a great note for India as Dhoni lost the toss and Sri Lanka captain Kumar Sangakkara opted to bat first.
Mahela Jayawardene played an incredible innings for Sri Lanka as he struck a ton to take the team's score to 274/6.
Team India in their chase got off to the worst possible start as the hosts lost Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag with just 31 runs on the board.
However, Gautam Gambhir and Dhoni stepped up and knitted together a match-winning 109-run partnership to guide India home to their second-ever ICC World Cup triumph.
