'No interest in...': Shoaib Malik on his retirement from international cricket

Former Pakistan Cricket Team captain Shoaib Malik has officially announced that he has no intentions of returning to play for the Men in Green. Malik has retired from ODIs and Test cricket, but has not yet made a decision on when he will retire from T20I cricket.

Despite continuing to play in league cricket, Malik has made it clear that his international career is over. He did make himself available for selection in the squad for the ICC T20 World Cup, but was not chosen as Babar Azam was appointed as the captain for the matches in the USA and West Indies.

“No, I am happy and satisfied after playing for so many years. I have no interest in playing for Pakistan again. I have already announced retirement from two formats. I have been playing league cricket and enjoying my time. Wherever I get an opportunity to play, I try to make the most of it,” said Shoaib Malik to Cricket Pakistan.

The 42-year-old cricketer is a seasoned veteran in the sport. Although he has retired from the longer formats of the game, he has not yet announced his retirement from T20Is. However, considering his recent statement that he has no intention of playing for Pakistan again, it is likely that he will retire from T20Is in the near future.

“I have no interest, but as I said in my previous interviews, I will announce my retirement from all forms of cricket once and for all,” Shoaib Malik concluded.
