Team India batsman Rohit Sharma took to social media to reveal which reunion he is waiting for on the cricket field as the cast reunion episode of the popular American sitcom, F.R.I.E.N.D.S released on Thursday, May 7 worldwide. The HBO Max special released on Zee5 in India at the same time as the whole world.
Rohit on Twitter wrote, "F.R.I.E.N.D.S, this is the reunion I am waiting for!" The picture was of him soaking in the crowd's appreciation in the 2019 Cricket World Cup when he raised his bat and helmet for one of his five centuries. Rohit had a dream run in the 2019 World Cup scoring 648 runs in 9 games at an average of 81.
Sharma shared the picture of a huge crowd in the stadium, which in the post-COVID-19 world has become a rarity. While skipper Virat Kohli has mentioned time and again the importance of the crowd in the stadium and how it keeps them going as professional sportspersons, many players have said that they miss the cheering fans in the stadiums. However, due to the current situation in the whole world, it is a reality that everyone has slowly come to terms with.
While the last year's IPL and this year's half season (before suspension) took place behind closed doors, many countries have allowed crowds in cricket stadiums in Australia, New Zealand and England either at half capacity or a very minimal crowd to have some kind of action in the stands as well.
While Hampshire's head confirmed that there will be around 4000 people at the World Test Championship (WTC) final, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has also announced that there will be close to 18000 people in the stadium attending the second Test between England and New Zealand from June 10 at Edgbaston.
