Sarfraz Ahmed hits back at critics with cryptic video tweet after getting 4-match ban for 'racist' comment

Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed has been handed a four-match by ICC for his racial remarks against a South African cricketer. While Ahmed on Tuesday said that he has learnt a lesson from the unsavoury episode, he soon posted a cryptic video that seemed to take a shot at his critics.

Ahmed posted a video message featuring a child giving some life lessons in times where a person is tested.

"Look for the positives in you, as other people are there to highlight your weaknesses. If you want to land your foot, make sure to put it in the forward direction. There are people waiting for the moment to pull you back. Aspire for big dreams, there are people waiting to show you the worst scenarios. Light up the fire within you, people are also there to get jealous as well."

"Make memories, there are people who are always there to create rumours and false talks. If you want to be loved, love yourself. There are enough people who are waiting to make you their enemies," says the boy in the video speaking Urdu.

Soon after returning from South Africa, Sarfaraz has said that he has realised his mistake and that is why he had immediately apologised publicly after the episode.

"It was a mistake and I have learnt from it," Sarfraz told reporters.

Sarfaraz, who is Pakistan's permanent captain in all three formats, has been forced to return home after the ICC had imposed a four-match ban on him for making racially motivated comments about Andile Phehlukwayo during the third ODI in Durban.

Sarfraz thanked PCB for its support but his supporters raised slogans against the ICC for the ban soon after his forced return to the country.

Pakistan will still have the third and final T20 international to play against South Africa on February 6 after the ban on Sarfraz ends, but the PCB has called him back and appointed veteran Shoaib Malik to lead the team in his absence.

Speculations are rife in Pakistan cricket that if Malik manages to win the ODI and T20 series, he could well be considered to lead Pakistan in the ICC World Cup in England, something which has greatly upset the supporters of Sarfraz.
