India's emerging talents, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill, experienced a significant surge in the ICC T20I rankings following the conclusion of the Zimbabwe tour. Jaiswal climbed four places to secure the 6th position in the ICC Men's T20I rankings with an impressive 743 points. The 22-year-old now stands just behind Pakistan's Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam. Travis Head maintains his position as the top-ranked T20I batter, with Suryakumar Yadav closely following with 797 points. England's Phil Salt also made strides, reaching the same points tally as Suryakumar to share the spot.

India's captain for the series, Shubman Gill, made a significant leap in the batting charts by climbing an impressive 36 places to secure the 37th spot in the rankings. This positioned him as the fourth-highest ranked player from India in the T20I rankings, surpassing the likes of Rohit Sharma (ranked 42nd) and Virat Kohli (ranked 51st), who recently retired from the shortest format of the game.

Gill now trails behind the 2nd ranked Suryakumar Yadav, 6th ranked Yashasvi Jaiswal, and 8th ranked Ruturaj Gaikwad in the batters' rankings.

Gill and Jaiswal capitalized on the opportunity presented to them, emerging as top run-scorers in the tournament. Gill finished as the leading run-scorer with 170 runs in five matches, boasting a strike-rate of 125.93 and an average of 42.50.

On the other hand, Jaiswal, despite missing the first two T20Is, made a grand entrance by playing an unbeaten knock of 93 runs in the 4th T20I and scoring a total of 141 runs in three T20I matches. He maintained an impressive average of 70.50 and a strike-rate of 165.88 throughout the series. The young Indian team secured a 4-1 victory over Zimbabwe in the 5-match T20I series.
