Considered the most educated individual in Indian history, Shrikant Jichkar was born on September 14, 1954. After leaving the service, IAS official Shrikant Jichkar went into politics. With his 20 university degrees, he became the youngest member of the Indian Legislative Assembly at the age of 26. Katol, Maharashtra is the birthplace of Shrikant Jichkar. 
 
Shrikant Jichkar graduated from Nagpur with an MBBS and an MD. He then pursued degrees in public administration, sociology, economics, Sanskrit, history, English literature, philosophy, political science, and the history, culture, and archaeology of ancient India. 
 
 In addition, he holds degrees in doctor of Business Management, master of international law, master of business administration, bachelor of journalism, and doctor of Sanskrit literature. Shrikant Jichkar was a very respectable student who won several gold medals for his degrees. According to reports, Shrikanth passed 20 degrees and applied for admission to 42 universities between 1973 and 1990. These examinations were written by him every summer and winter. Shrikant Jichkar was selected to serve as a central civil servant in the Indian Police Service in 1978 following his success in the UPSC test. 

Jichkar quit the cadre in 1980 and became an IAS officer by passing the UPSC again. Shortly after being appointed as an IAS official, Jichkar became an MLA after winning an election for office. Jichkar was then named a minister and given fourteen ministries. Shrikanth was the State Minister for the state of Maharashtra in addition to being a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Council (1986–1992) and the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly (1980–1985). 

From 1992 until 1998, he was an MP and also a member of the Rajya Sabha. In 1992, Jichkar founded the Sàndipani School in Nagpur. Shrikant Jichkar, who was 49 at the time, died after his automobile was involved in an accident on June 2, 2004, at Kondhali, around 50 km from Nagpur.
