A person can succeed if he just adheres to these fundamental principles. I achieved success in 2020. I am from a little village in the Kasganj district, he said. My education was done in a primary school.
Ajay Kumar Gautam is the son of Ramveer Singh, a retired primary school teacher. He was born and raised in the outlying village of Siddha Nagar, which is a part of the town of Kasganj, Uttar Pradesh. His scholastic career began in the local government school, and he then completed his intermediate studies at Mathura's Baba Kedera Singh Vidyalaya.
He eventually decided to attend IIT Kanpur to obtain an engineering degree. His inner calling during this time led him to pursue his dream of becoming an IAS official.
He persisted in his pursuit of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) cadre despite passing the esteemed UPSC exam in 2018 and earning a spot in the Indian Police Services (IPS). He took on the UPSC preliminary exam in June 2019, aced the main exam in September 2019, and faced the final interview in March 2020 with an unyielding focus. He secured AIR 415 in the UPSC rank.
He was disappointed that his plans to train in Hyderabad were interrupted by the Covid-19 lockdown, but he treasured the time he had with his family.
Ajay Kumar Gautam credits his family's unwavering support for helping him succeed in the UPSC. Ajay was driven to become the first IAS officer from his village by his father's desire to see him become an IAS or IPS officer as well as the dearth of successful civil services candidates from their town. His unrelenting efforts were directed towards making his father's dream come true.
There were difficulties along the way. Ajay Kumar Gautam had to deal with financial limitations brought on by his family's low income when he studied in Delhi for the civil services exam. He overcame challenges by creating efficient time management plans, focusing on his studies, and avoiding distractions like social media.
