This is the story of Premsukh Delu, an IPS officer whose journey from humble beginnings to a prestigious position in the Indian Police Service serves as an inspiration. Premsukh, who hails from Rajasthan, used to graze cows as a child while also focusing on his studies. Despite financial hardships, his dedication to education helped him overcome obstacles and achieve his dreams.

Premsukh Delu comes from a small village called Raisar in Nokha tehsil of Bikaner district, Rajasthan. His father supported the family by farming and driving a camel cart. Despite these financial constraints, Premsukh was determined to secure a government job to lift his family out of poverty. He balanced his studies with helping his father by grazing cows.

Premsukh’s commitment to education was evident from a young age. His parents had studied in government schools, but his elder sister never attended school. This made Premsukh even more determined to succeed. After completing his graduation in 2010, he passed the Patwari recruitment exam and started his career as a Patwari. However, his ambition didn’t stop there. He continued studying and eventually passed the UPSC exam, becoming an IPS officer.

Premsukh’s educational journey was marked by several achievements. He studied in a government school till class 10 before enrolling in Government Dungar College in Bikaner. He completed an MA in History, earning a gold medal, and passed the UGC NET and JRF exams in History. Even while working as a Patwari, Premsukh continued his education and passed the NET exam.

Over six years, Premsukh secured 12 government jobs. He started as a Patwari and then secured the second position in the Rajasthan Gram Sevak exam. Despite being selected as a Sub Inspector in the Rajasthan Police, he chose to work as an Assistant Jailor. He has also served as a Tehsildar, college lecturer, and school lecturer. In his second attempt at the civil services exam, Premsukh achieved the 170th rank, becoming an IPS officer.

Premsukh Delu’s journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and dedication. Despite facing numerous challenges, he worked tirelessly to achieve his dreams. His story serves as an inspiration for those striving to fulfill their dreams amidst poverty and hardship.
