One of the toughest exams to crack in India is the UPSC. Lakhs of applicants attempt the exams to become IRS, IPS, IFS, and IAS each year. But not everyone clears it.

However, there are few people who crack it in their first attempt at a young age.

We are talking about IPS Kamyaa Misra whose story serves as a beacon of determination and diligence as she cracked UPSC in her first attempt.

Kamyaa hails from Odisha, and since childhood, she has been a bright student. She achieved a whopping 98 per cent in class 12th and became the regional topper.

Later, Kamya studied at Delhi University and completed her graduation from Lady Shri Ram College. Meanwhile, she chose to prepare for the UPSC exams.

With her unflinching dedication and hard work she passed the exam on her first try at the age of 22. She then became an Indian Police Service Officer in 2019 with AIR 172, achieved without any coaching.

She was initially granted the Himachal cadre but was later posted as IPS in the Bihar cadre. In 2021, she tied the knot to Awadhesh Saroj, an IPS officer from Bihar cadre and a graduate of IIT Bombay in Udaipur.
