We got our hands on a few throwback photos from a photoshoot of Kamal Haasan and Preity Zinta from Shankar's 'Enthiran'/'Robot'.
Filmmaker S Shankar, who gave the blockbuster science-fiction action flick Enthiran/Robot back in 2010 has been planning the film since the late 90s. The film starred Rajinikanth as the scientist as well as the robot alongside Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. However, they weren't the first choices of Shankar. Yes, in the early 2000s, Shankar had roped in Kamal Haasan and Preity Zinta to play the lead roles in his directorial.
However, the film did not witness the broad daylight and got shelved eventually only to get revived a few years later. Interestingly, Kamal and Preity had also done a photoshoot for the film and we got our hands on a few photos too.

1. Kamal Haasan and Preity Zinta get into 'robotic' mode

Back in the early 2000s, Shankar had announced that Kamal Haasan and Preity Zinta have been roped in to play lead roles in his directorial Robot/Enthiran. The actors even did a photoshoot, however, the film was shelved eventually.
Here, Kamal and Preity are seen in robotic mode reminding us of the song 'Arima Arima' which was later picturised on Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Preity Zinta looked beautiful and sexy in a black leather jumpsuit with Princess Leia hairdo.
3. Quirkiness of Kamal and Preity

For one of the looks, both Kamal Haasan and Preity Zinta sported shorts and posed by blowing air kisses to each other.

Kamal Haasan is seen in a military look with funny expressions, while Preity has gone boho with a monochrome turban and beaded jewellery.
5. Creating his twin, oh, no, ROBOT!

In other working stills, we see Kamal Haasan as a scientist who is creating a robot, looking just like him. Well, Rajinikanth also did the same and we know what happened in Enthiran and 2.0.
