From her comeback after 15 years to becoming 'superstar' once again, how Manju Warrier took Malayalam cinema by storm

Manju Warrier who left the film industry in 1999 after getting married to Malayalam actor Dileep made her comeback in 2014 after their separation. The actor starred in the film How Old Are You? directed by Rosshan Andrrews.

There was no turning back for Manju Warrier since then! In these seven years, the actor starred in nearly 25 films (including her upcoming projects). She has won several accolades and filmmakers wrote films that are entirely shouldered on her. Manju proved even in her second innings that she was an amazing actor and she will remain the same.

In her first innings, Manju Warrier is remembered for her performances in films namely Sallapam, Ee Puzhayum Kadannu, Kaliyattam, Aaraam Thampuran, Daya, Kanmadam, Summer in Bethlehem, Pathram, Kannezhuthi Pottum Thottu and many others.

Since 2014, she has been lauded by the masses for her roles in How Old Are You?, C/O Saira Banu, Udaharanam Sujatha, Aami, Odiyan, Lucifer, Asuran and the latest being Chathur Mukham.

In 2019, Manju Warrier made her Tamil debut with the National Award-winning film Asuran. In the film, she played the onscreen wife of Dhanush who won the National Film Award in the Best Actor category this year.

During a public event for The Priest, Manju Warrier debuted a new fringed hairstyle and the photos went instantly viral on the Internet. People who didn't know much about the actor also couldn't stop gushing over Manju.

During an interaction with Film Companion, Manju Warrier confirmed that she is making her Bollywood debut. The actor stated, "I am doing a film called Amriki Pandit with Madhavan. The shoot was going on in Bhopal when Madhavan was tested positive for COVID-19, so, we rescheduled. Now, as there's a lockdown in Bhopal, we are waiting for things to settle down. I am very excited about the project. I am speaking Hindi and we are also shooting with live sound."

Manju Warrier's upcoming films include Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, Jack and Jill, Kayattam, Lalitham Sundaram, Padavettu, Meri Awaaz Suno to name a few.
