Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan will work together once again in a new series. They will co-star in Netflix's first Pakistani-themed original series, which will be an adaptation of bestselling novel Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo. Incidentally, the novel has been written by Farhat Ishtiaq, best known for her earlier work Humsafar. Fawad and Mahira actors previously starred in Humsafar's adaptation, considered one of Pakistan's most popular TV shows.

The Netflix adaptation of Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo also stars Sanam Saeed, Ahad Raza Mir, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Bilal Ashraf, Nadia Jamil, Maya Ali, Iqra Aziz, Khushaal Khan, Omair Rana, and Samina Ahmed.

The story revolves around the two protangonists Sikandar and Liza. According to a Variety report, Sikandar is a Harvard law student who has a life-altering incident, and Liza is an accomplished artist with a tumultuous history. The plot develops when the two protagonists meet in Italy. The program will take place in locales in Pakistan, the UK, and Italy.

Fawad and Mahira are one of the most-loved on-screen pairings in Pakistan. They were recently seen in the Punjabi-language film The Legend of Maula Jatt, which broke several records to become the highest-grossing Pakistani film ever and also the highest-grossing Punjabi language film of all-time, beating several Indian films in the process.

Both Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan have also worked in Bollywood and are popular faces inIndia. Fawad is best remembered for his roles in Khoobsurat, Kapoor and Sons, along with a cameo in Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Mahira worked in one just Bollywood film - Raees opposite Shah Rukh Khan.

Mahira returned to Indian television earlier this year with the show Yaar Julahay. The Pakistani anthology show was aired in June on Zindagi channel's DTH platforms.
