Gaurah Khan is on a musical trail

After several nominations for her debut role in Rocket Singh - The Salesman of the Year, Gauhar Khan is looking forward to taking to the stage. Gauhar will be a part of the currently untitled musical which will be a daily show in Gurgaon’s Kingdom of Dreams in a broadway musical fashion.

The musical written by Javed Akhtar also has Isha Sharvani and Vivek Oberoi in the cast. Gauhar is quite glad that she’s got the opportunity to do this musical. “I wanted to be on stage for a long time and this musical is a big thing for me. This musical is on the lines of Broadway. And should attract a lot of tourists in the coming days,” she says.

When asked if she was prepared to lose out on some films because she will be stuck doing a daily musical, Gauhar says that won’t really happen. “I will do this for a few months for sure. If a good film comes my way I might take it up. There is room for that.

Till then, I will be working on this. I will soon start rehearsing for it and I’m exicted,” says Gauhar, who has chopped her hair for her current shoot for Abhinay Deo’s slick thriller Crooked.

But Gauhar doesn’t want to put her glam-avatar on the back-burner, so she has gone on and signed     for the much-talked about cabaret number for Once Upon A Time In Mumbai.

“I made my debut with a deglam role but I come from a fashion background. So I also want to don the glamorous, sexy look from time to time. The song is fantastic,” says Gauhar.
