Many actors though didn't become top heroes, won hearts as side characters in the movie. One such actor worked in over 1000 films but never became a top hero. However, he is still richer than many superstars. 

The actor we are talking about became popular for his comic roles in the movie and despite growing up in poverty, the actor has made a mark in the film industry and is now richer than many other superstars like Rajinikanth, Thalapathy Vijay and Prabhas among others. He is none other than Brahmanandam.

Brahmanandam is an Indian actor, comedian, impersonator, and voice actor known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema. The actor holds the Guinness World Record for the most screen credits for a living actor, appearing in over 1000 films to date. Brahmanandam was born on 1 February 1956 in Chaganti Vari Palem village, Sattenapalli, Andhra Pradesh. The actor grew up in poverty as his father was a carpenter and they reportedly struggled to make ends meet. 

He completed his Master of Arts degree and joined as a Telugu lecturer in Attili of West Godavari district. While working as a lecturer, the actor also did theatres and worked a mimicry artist.  Soon he made his television debut in 1985 with DD Telugu's Pakapakalu. After watching his performance in the show, director Jandhyala cast him in the film Aha Naa-Pellanta! (1987), which became a breakthrough role for him. After this, there was no looking back for him. 

Over the years, he has been a part of several successful films like Pasivadi Pranam and Swayam Krushi, Alluda Majaka, Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu, Bombay Priyudu, Anaganaga Oka Roju, Muddula Mogudu, Bavagaru Bagunnara?, Aavida Maa Aavide, Thammudu, Kshemamga Velli Labhamga Randi, Jayam Manade Raa, Kalisundam Raa, and Ammo! Okato Tareekhu among others. 

Despite featuring in over 1000 films, the actor never became a top hero, but became a popular comic star in South films without whom films would look incomplete. The star is now richer than many leading South heroes. Brahmanandan reportedly charges Rs 2 crore per film. He reportedly has a whopping net worth of Rs 500 crore which is more than that of stars like Rajinikanth (Rs 450 crore), Prabhas (Rs 237 crore), Allu Arjun (Rs 460 crore), Thalapathy Vijay (Rs 410 crore) and Jr NTR (Rs 450 crore).
