It was perhaps the biggest news in the music world when music prodigy Mick Jagger collaborated with Indian maverick AR Rahman, English soul and RnB singer Joss Stone, guitarist Dave Stewart and reggae star Damian Marley to formulate the band SuperHeavy.

Stone, who rose to fame in late 2003 with her debut album, The Soul Sessions, became the youngest British singer to top the UK Albums Chart in history to have her first album at number one. She released LP1 in July this year, under her own record label. Stone is currently working on her next album titled LP2. “Very excited to start making another record LP 2 is on the way!” the singer had posted on the microblogging site Twitter.

Stone was also a part of the video promo for SuperHeavy’s first track Miracle Worker that features all the band members. After having garnered accolades worldwide, the band is now contemplating to do a world tour. “If people really like it maybe we will. We’d love to get out and play some of it live,” said Jagger emphasising that they haven’t yet decided the future of the band.

The band members, who share eleven Grammy Awards between them, have recorded together in various studios around the world, which, Stewart says, was a tough task. Calling it “a mad alchemist type experiment”, Stewart says, “Imagine, it’s recorded in LA, France, Cyprus, Turkey, Miami, Caribbean, and some in Chennai, in India!”
