The Shah Rukh Khan-Hrithik Roshan clash: Why it's beyond Kaabil and Raees

Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan are all set to clash at the ticket window on January 25 with their respective releases Kaabil and Raees.

But few are aware that another clash between them is taking place in Dubai at the newly-opened Bollywood-themed park, which has an entire section dedicated to two superhero rides Krrish and RA.One. Hrithik and Shah Rukh have giant lifesize cutouts and images of their superhero avatars plastered on the walls and dome of the park.

At the launch, dozens of Hrithik and SRK fans were spotted clamouring making their way to the dome to enjoy these rides. Inside the theme park fans get to enjoy the RA.One and Krrish experience under the same roof.

A source associated with the project revealed, “The RA.One and Krrish rides are one of the biggest attractions in the theme park. They might be clashing with the films, but here, they enjoy immense popularity with fans wanting to get an experience of their favourite superheroes. The Krrish and RA.One rides are different from the rest of the amusement rides in the park.”

THE RA.ONE RIDE
The SRK ride begins by sitting in a theatre where one is welcomed into Shekhar’s lab. Like the Krrish ride, this one too involves getting strapped on to a chair wearing 3-D glasses. SRK fans will love the experience and feel like a part of the RA.One journey. Shah Rukh has shot specific VFX scenes to make the ride more relatable and believable. One can also see Shekhar’s son Prateek, who has grown up and is helping his dad battle their nemesis. However, unlike the Krrish ride, the overall experience story-wise, was average. Couldn’t help wishing the ride had more to offer than just thrusts and jerks. Overall, I’d still call it an interesting ride for an SRK fan.

THE KRRISH RIDE
The exhibit has an introductory video welcoming the fan into Krrish’s world. The ride involves strapping oneself into a dome-shaped structure with a VFX image of Hrithik in his Krrish avatar on a mission to save the world. The ride has the right mix of thrill and adventure as you accompany Krrish as he battles to save the city from destruction and mayhem. The 3D effect of being in a ride that moves as fast as Krrish is worth your penny. There is recall value and an association with Brand Krrish that fans will enjoy.
