Why is Kannada actress Ragini Dwivedi dogged by controversies?

Actress Ragini Dwivedi has been linked to two actors and even rumoured to have been the cause of break-ups. She has been in the news the past year more for controversies rather than her films. 

News of Kiccha Sudeep’s divorce fuelled rumours about the actor’s alleged affair with an actress. Soon there were speculations that it could be Ragini since she had made her debut in Sandalwood with Kiccha Sudeep’s Veera Madakari. There had been rumours a few years back that the actors were seeing each other but this was denied by Sudeep earlier. Last month, Sudeep took to social media to clarify news about his divorce and asked people to respect his privacy.

Last year, Ragini  was also alleged to be the reason for the break-up between Rana Daggubati and Trisha. Though Rana and Trisha stated they were only good friends, there were rumours that Ragini had gotten close to Rana which ended his relationship with Trisha. However, Ragini denied this news and said that she and Rana were ‘best friends’ and there was nothing more to their relationship.

The actress was also in the news last year for her wardrobe malfunction at SIIMA. There was talk by some people in the Kannada film industry that she had done this deliberately. However, Ragini brushed it aside and said it could happen to anyone. 

There were two other incidents which she was dragged into as well. One was during the photoshoot of the film Nati Koli when someone who allegedly worked for her created a commotion on the set. The other incident was when an assistant director had allegedly committed suicide because she had reported him to the KFCC. He had allegedly sent vulgar SMS and made obscene phone calls to Ragini. The actress said that she had reported him for this behaviour.
