ZEE5 celebrates its first anniversary in style, launches 72 new originals across 6 languages

The stage was set at Mumbai's JW Marriott Hotel on Thursday - February 14, 2019 to mark the first anniversary of ZEE's OTT platform ZEE5. The dim-lit evening offered the perfect setting for the cascade of stars that were to shine down and make their way to make it a night to remember. With celebs like Arjun Rampal, Pooja Bhatt, Mahesh Bhatt, Raima Sen, Arbaaz Khan, Saqib Saleem, Sreesanth, Sumeet Vyas, Goldie Bahl among others gracing the red carpet one after the other, we knew that we were in for qute a ride. 

While we had an inkling that the first anniversary celebrations of ZEE5 will be nothing less than grand, little did we know that the folks had quite a lot of surprises in store for us. As the evening paved the way for the star-studded night, we got to know that ZEE5 will be marking it's one-year celebrations by launching 72 originals across multiple genres and six languages by March 2020. With this, ZEE5 ensures that it continues to offer maximum original content on the platform compared to any other OTT player in the country.

New seasons of Sunny Leone's biopic, Karenjit Kaur: The Untold Story of Sunny Leone and Rangbaaz too were announced alongwith ZEE5 originals in Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages. Furthermore, in its second year, actors like Dia Mirza, Arjun Rampal, Parambrata Chatterjee, Arbaaz Khan, Kathir, Tanvi Azmi and Directors like Sujay Dahake, Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, Goldie Behl and many more join the ZEE5 family.

Continuing about the year ahead, Katial said, “The regional markets is where the future of entertainment lies – our next viewers will come from there. ZEE5 has launched a special 30% discount on both annual packs - all access @ INR 999/- and regional @ INR 499/-. This is applicable from February 14, to March 31, 2019. In case subscribers pay via their Paytm account, they will get an additional 50% cashback on these rates.
