Are you looking to get rid of your pimple scars or marks on your face? Can’t figure which cream can work best?

Dermatologist and cosmetologist  Dr Anju Mithil tells us about all the specifics for choosing the right cream depending on the type of scar.

Creams work for post acne pigmented scars that turn brown or red in colour. In this case, creams with exfoliating and depigmentation agents like kojic acid and  azelaic acid are effective. Kojic acid is known to have skin lightening properties and can clear dark spots.

This is found specifically in creams whereas azelaic acid is best used in gel form. Dr Anju adds that creams don’t show results in the case of deep scars. For such marks, the microdermabrasion treatment and laser treatment could be considered.
