Instagram star Sahar Tabar, who is best known as Angelina Jolie's lookalike, has reportedly been arrested and jailed for 10 years. She was reportedly arrested for  her social media activities.

19-year-old Sahar, whose real name is Fatemeh Khishvand, has reportedly been charged with corrupting young people and disrespect for the Islamic Republic. According to a report on The Guardian, charges against Tabar included 'blasphemy, inciting violence, gaining income through inappropriate means and encouraging youths to corruption'.

She is hoping for a pardon. Her lawyers also pointed out her age at the time of the 'offenses committed'.

Reportedly, Sahar's medical reports suggest that she has a 'mental illness'. The reports also suggested that she has 'a history of visits to psychiatric hospitals'.

Sahar had asked Angelina to campaign for her. She said, "The Islamic Republic has a history of tormenting women. We need to be united against this gender apartheid."

For the uninfomed, Jolie is a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador.

Sahar Tabar had denied that she underwent plastic surgery to look like Angelina Jolie. Tabar had said that she painted her face in a very funny way. In a 2017 interview to Russian website Sputnik, she said, "Every time I publish a photo, I paint my face in an increasingly funny way. It is a way of expressing yourself, a kind of art. My fans know that this is not my real face."

For the uninformed, Sahar being arrested for blasphemy made headlines even in 2019, on October 8. According to IANS, she was arrested on blasphemy charges.
