Mirza Ghalib's mansion: Lost in the hustle and bustle of Chandni Chowk

A poet known all over the world but actually very few people know where Mirza Ghalib's mansion is where he spent quite a long time of his life. 

The landmark is neither pinned on Google maps, nor will you find any signboards to guide you to the structure. The mansion was earlier hijacked by shopkeepers after Ghalib died that continued till the government interfered in 1999.

While Chandni Chowk is central to all the Old Delhi tourist attractions like Jama Masjid, Red Fort as well as the street markets, one of the very important structures - Mirza Ghalib's mansion - in the same locality goes unnoticed. 

Although, the government carried on the repair and restoration work on the mansion in 1999 but nothing has been done to promote the place for tourists.

What Ghalib had said hundreds of years ago is relevant even today.
