'Personal ego and lack of political maturity': Urmila Matondkar reveals how few Cong leaders 'sabotaged' her campaign

According to Urmila Matondkar, Chief Co-ordinater Sandesh Kondwilkar and another key functionary Bhushan Patil failed to dispose their duty properly. She says there was no real communication between block level and ward level workers. They also created controversies and animosity among workes, alleges Matondkar. 

She also claims that those two leaders failed to garner funds needed to fight elections. Local offices were not set up and even pamphlets not distributed, says defeated candidate. 

Campaign programs also didn't start on time, claims Matondkar. 

According to Matondkar, her family members were called at odd hours in the night asking for funds by Kondwilkar. He wanted Urmila's family member to call up Ahmed Patel for funds after calling late at night, claims actress. Also table management during poll day was very poor according to Urmila leading to low participation of voters. She also claims that her suggestions in devising campaign strategy was completely ignored. Also Kandivali East functionaries didn't pull their weight according to her. 

According to Urmila Matondkar, the planning of the meeting was done in a shoddy way and proper permissions weren't taken. Even Mallikarjun Kharge couldn't speak in the meeting owing to this lack of planning. 

Matondkar in her letter says that she is writing it with an 'honest intention' to bring about 'positive changes' in the party.
