Delhi high court blast probe's focus shifts to Kishtwar

The focus of the Delhi high court blast probe has shifted to Kishtwar district in Jammu region with the NIA declaring that three local Hizb-ul-Mujhadeen militants are wanted in the case.

The investigation agency has also announced Rs10 lakh reward for any information on each of them that could lead to their arrest.

One of three, Junaid Akram Malik alias Juni alias Umair is brother of Wasim Malik, who is studying medicine in Bangladesh and was recently arrested by the NIA from Delhi airport.

Junaid and the other two HM militants —  Shakir Hussain Sheikh and Amir Ali Kamal — are residents of Kishtwar and, the NIA says, played “a crucial role in the conspiracy” which led to the blast that left 15 people dead.

Police sources said the conspiracy for the blast was hatched in a rented house in Kishtwar when Wasim had come home for Eid.
According to sources, Wasim has named an officer of the Bangladesh Rifles who deserted the force in the neighbour country during the 2009 mutiny.

He along with two other Bangladeshis — Bilal Bhai and Hamid Bhai — were part of the plot.

There are a few more Bangladeshis who are on the radar and yet to be identified, the sources added.
