A Delhi court today allowed a plea by the police seeking 30 days more to complete its probe and file the chargesheet against two suspected Indian Mujahideen terrorists for their alleged roles in serial blasts here in 2008.

During the proceedings, public prosecutor Rajiv Mohan submitted the police had completed its investigation against Shahjad in cases registered with Tilak Marg and Karol Bagh police station and were awaiting sanction for his prosecution.
As fas as another accused Salman was concerned, he said the matter with regard to his age was pending before the court of chief metropolitan magistrate in which some doctors as well as the principal of a Mumbai school have been summoned to record their statements on April 20.
Delhi police is yet to initiate its arguments on framing of charges against the accused in the matter.
The proceedings with regard to framing of charges in the court would be initiated with the filing of the chargesheets against Shahjad and Salman who were arrested on February 1 and March 5 respectively.
Meanwhile, the court directed the superintendent of Sabarmati Jail in Ahmedabad to send a copy of the apex court order allowing two accused Mohd Shakeel and Zia-ur Rehman to appear in examinations at Jamia Millia Islamia University.
Both the accused have been brought to the national capital from Ahmedabad for the purpose and were lodged in Tihar jail.
The court is conducting proceedings in the matter through video conferencing as nine accused are at present lodged at Sabarmati Jail Ahedabad for their alleged roles in serial blasts there.
Out of the 14 arrested accused, Md Hakim, Shahzad and Salman are in Tihar jail in New Delhi.
Five cases were registered in connection with the serial blasts in Delhi on September 13, 2008, which killed 26 people and injured over 135 others.
