Following the controversy surrounding probationary IAS Pooja Khedkar, a new discussion has emerged concerning UPSC's civil services selection procedure. The anomalies in the UPSC selection procedure surprise everyone. Since the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is in charge of finding suitable applicants for esteemed positions like IAS, IPS, IFS, and IRS in the nation, which are crucial to its growth.

When an IAS officer raised concerns about PwD reservation in All India Services (AIS), the controversy surrounding Pooja Khedkar's misuse of PwD reservation had not yet abated. They claim that the only candidates for IAS, IPS, and IFS positions are physically fit. This implies that hiring disabled persons for these positions is not a good idea.

During the UPSC controversy in 2000, Smita Sabharwal, an IAS officer from Telangana cadre, shared her opinions on the quota for disabled in IAS on her social media account, 'X'. She posted on X, "As this debate is blowing up- With all due respect to the Differently Abled. Does an Airline hire a pilot with disability? Or would you trust a surgeon with a disability.  The nature of the #AIS ( IAS/IPS/IFoS) is field-work, long taxing hours, listening first hand to people’s grievances-which requires physical fitness. Why does this premier service need this Quota in the first place!  #justasking"

Comments on IAS Smita Sabharwal's post have been mixed, but one user, who disagrees with the IAS, gave the example of disabled officers who have significantly benefited the nation in their field.
