'Losing a...': Tanu Jain, Tathastu IAS coaching founder, breaks silence on 3 UPSC aspirants' deaths

Dr Tanu Jain, who resigned as a civil servant to launch her own UPSC coaching centre, has finally talked about the recent tragic incident wherein three UPSC aspirants were killed due to flooding in the basement of the IAS coaching centre in Old Rajinder Nagar in Delhi. 

She termed the incident as heart-wrenching, saying the loss of human life makes her speechless. Founder of Tathastu ICS coaching institute, Dr Tanu Jain recalled the days when she lived in Rajinder Nagar during her UPSC preparation.

Talking about the incident, she tweeted, "I could have been one of them, you could have been one of them. It is not just tragic but it is heart-wrenching and the loss of human life makes me speechless." In the same tweet, she added, "I am a parent and the pain of a parent losing a child is the worst kind of pain. I don't know what to say that can ease the pain, there are no words."

Her comments come after many UPSC aspirants criticised top UPSC teachers, including Vikas Divyakirti, Avadh Ojha and others, over their silence on the issue. On Saturday, three UPSC students were trapped and killed in the basement of the building of Rau's IAS Study Circle in Old Rajinder Nagar as the biometric lock malfunctioned after water gushed in following heavy rain.
