You have fought as an independent on this seat against BJP candidate in last elections; how did you come back to the party fold? What issues are you fighting for?

I have been associated with BJP from 1992 when I was in Yuva Morcha. I contested as the BJP candidate in 2008 and managed to get enough votes to make Congress lose. I too lost but helped to make BJP strong in the area. I did contest as independent last time. I am grateful that the party cancelled my suspension and gave me a ticket this time - we will surely win the seat.     

You face a big leader - how challenging is it?  

Yes, he is a big leader and has been leader of opposition. The only thing I will say is that he is a leader due to circumstances; I am a leader because of my hard work. (wo paristhithi se bane bade neta hain - hum parishram se bane hue hain)

How difficult are you finding to take him on? 

He is an important leader of Congress and he is an important part of functioning of assembly and government. But sadly he did not deliver to the people and so I am sure people will choose me. This is the biggest issue I am raising among the people. 

You say your opponent did not perform? What do you plan to do for the people of the area? 

Rameshwar Dudi has served our government brought canal water for the farmers and we will now bring drinking water for the area, it is the biggest demand.

Do you think caste equations favour you or Rameshwar Dudi? 

I have been working in this area for 10 years, even after losing. I am associated with all communities. I feel I have the support of all 36 communities.
