Report on ‘health’ of SMS Hospital put before Rajasthan High Court

Inspection report was submitted by the jurist on the arrangements of the SMS Hospital before the Rajasthan High Court on Wednesday, the. Taking the report on record, the court has directed the Advocate General to keep its side till March 14. The division bench of Justice Mohammad Rafiq and Justice Govardhan Bardhar gave this order while hearing the PIL filed by SK Gupta. The court said that the facilities of other departments should also be improved like trauma.

The report submitted by Jurist Advocate Tanveer Ahmed stated that there is a shortage of resources and staff in the hospital in the proportion of patients. Apart from this, computerised records of the admitted patients are not maintained. Due to a lack of patient consultants in the hospital, new patients have to suffer a lot. Seeing the crowd approaching the hospital, the master of the next 50 years should be prepared.

It was also mentioned in the report that the administrative wing should be shifted elsewhere from the hospital premises. At the same time, different blocks of the hospital are also made in an unplanned manner. 

Along with this, there is no waiting area for patients, their families and staff, and the parking system is also in a bad condition. It has been said by the jurist that in the hospital, facility of a food court, departmental store, bank and ATM should be made along with the facility of billing on the test centres. Instead of outsourcing CT scan and MRI, the hospital administration should handle it.

It was also stated in the report that while making the hospital a referral hospital, facilities should be developed in the satellite hospitals of other areas of the city. A traffic jam around the hospital and encroachment on the premises adds to problems. While explaining the satisfactory arrangement of cleaning within the hospital, its effective requirement was explained outside the premises.

HC upholds election of Municipal Corp chief

Rajasthan High Court has upheld the by-election, for the post of Chairman of Malpura Municipal Corporation scheduled to be held today, as per the order on the petition. Along with this, the court has issued notices to the state government on not performing secret ballot for the no-confidence motion. The single bench of Justice Govardhan Bardhar gave this order while hearing the petition filed by former Chairman Sapna Jain. It was mentioned in the petition that no-confidence motion was passed against the petitioner on January 24.

Judicial boycott of courts by lawyers

In protest against the inclusion of judicial officers on the seats of lawyer quota in the ADJ Recruitment-2018, the city’s lawyers will carry out judicial boycott today. During this time, lawyers in the subordinate courts of the city including the High Court will not appear before courts. On the other hand, the Bar Council of Rajasthan has announced to keep Protest Day on February 8. Along with this, the indefinite judicial boycott of the revenue courts continued on Wednesday as well. A team of lawyers also reached the Supreme Court on Wednesday to present an application for becoming a party in the matter.
