There's rarely anyone who would contest the fact that actor and former supermodel Milind Soman is one of the fittest celebrities in the Hindi film industry and also that he is ageing like fine wine.

An avid sportsperson and fitness enthusiast, Milind, who has successfully defied the process of ageing, keeps looking younger with every photo that he shares of himself on his verified Instagram account.

In fact, his lockdown transformation of 'grey is gold' is a perfect example of him 'ageing gracefully' and 'confidently'.

However, there's no denying that Milind's oh-so-handsome looks still manage to steal the hearts of women across the globe.

A fitness practitioner and motivator himself, the one thing that is really cute and lovable about him is that when a fan manages to meet him personally, he does not immediately oblige him/her with a photo when asked for. And that's not because he has any air around himself (there's no one more grounded and humble), but because he likes the young generation to prove that they are fit!

So, if someone happens to meet him, he wouldn't just oblige with a photograph, at least not without that person proving that he/she could a few push-ups. And that is just so cute and encouraging in so many ways.

In fact, so dedicated is the actor towards fitness and health that he often shares tips on his Instagram account to motivate his fans to take up some form of physical exercise and practise healthy eating habits. No wonder he earned the title 'Iron Man of India' and made the country proud by completing, one of the world's toughest races, the Ironman Triathlon.

Besides this, as an actor, Milind has done several films including 'Bajirao Mastani', '16 December', 'Bhram' among others in his career span. As as he turns 55 on Wednesday (well he could easily be passed off as a thirty-something and this is no exaggeration going by his fitness level and killer looks),  we take a look at some of his photos that prove he is fit as a fiddle.

3. You need time to exercise - Truth is micro workouts take 3-4 minutes and you can do them once or as many times as you like, throughout the day.

A fitness icon, Milind Soman through his Instagram pos keeps motivating the young and old to take up some form of physical exercise. However, in a departure from his usual health posts, recently the actor shared 3 very stimulating thoughts. He wrote:

1. Believe in yourself, peoples opinions tell you more about them, not you.

2. Never give up the thing you love, its the only thing that will give your journey real meaning.

3. And embrace the unpredictability of life. When it goes your way, celebrate. When it doesn't, work harder!

5. Milind Soman an advocate of healthy living

Fitness and healthy living advocate, Milind has often spoken about conscious lifestyle choices. From advising that one should take the stairs instead of an elevator, motiving masses to ditch their cars and cycle to nearby places to opting walk to the grocery store, Milind has often encouraged people to make lifestyle changes that will help them stay fit.

In one of his interviews where he was sharing his fitness mantra, Milind was quoted saying, "I firmly believe that we are never too old to start or learn something new. I started endurance running only in 2003 when I was 38 and I haven't stopped since. More than the physical fitness, for me it is about believing in yourself. It's about dealing with life in a positive way, learning positive lessons from every experience and situation. When you take up any kind of exercise or activity, at any age, start slow - understand and accept how your body and mind respond and move forward accordingly. Whether you choose to practise yoga, run, swim, cycle, or hit the gym, use all exercise or activity to make your mind strong and balance your mental health."
