Every chapter of your life has its own charm, says Ayaan Ali Khan

It was instant attraction when they first met at a common friend’s place. What followed was a long distance relationship for two years culminating in marriage recently. Now musician Ayaan Ali Khan and Neema Sharma are a perfect picture of bliss today.

Asserting that marriage means  patience, Ayaan says, “Every chapter of your life has its own charm." He admits, “I’m not an easy person to live with. Music is my first love.” But it is this passion towards his work that endears him to his wife.

When quizzed about the prominent change in his life post marriage, he says he’s learning to play multiple roles. “My friend requests have shot up on my Facebook,” he laughs. “She still pings me on Facebook from across the room,” says Ayaan.  The couple bring elements of fun in their marriage by slipping in personal notes to each other. Or switch off their phones to the outside world just to be with each other. “We may not talk all the time, but just the assurance that he’s around can be so comforting,” says Neema.

Though Neema has assisted her father Romesh Sharma in many films, she’s in no hurry to boost her professional feats.  Right now, she’s busy putting her culinary expertise to surprise her husband. Ayaan admits to being commitment phobic before meeting his better half. In retrospect, both feel that their union was predestined. “She has proved to be a loving wife, a responsible daughter to my parents, and an amiable sister to Amaan bhaiya,” says the singer.
