Future-ready partnership

He’s a crystal gazer who’s been ahead of the curve, but that can also be a double-edged sword. In hindsight, he’s admitted betting too high and too fast on outdoor media, internet and radio — before their time really arrived. If anything, it has made Tariq Ansari even more determined to follow his dream.

In the last three years since he hived off his print business to concentrate on new media, the managing director of Mid-Day Multimedia Limited has not just reinvented his professional goals, he’s also crossed a cusp in his personal life. He had to weather a turbulent phase which broke up his marriage to Anuradha — she happens to be the sister of actor Rahul Bose — but the inevitable has allowed them both a chance to move ahead with renewed energy into a hopefully better chapter of their lives.

Tariq has found a soulmate in yoga and fitness trainer Maya Rao, and we are delighted to hear that the couple have just been blessed with a bonny son who they’ve named Imaan. While not very much is known about Maya, we do know that she’s an accomplished Ashtanga Yoga practitioner who learnt Iyengar’s Hatha yoga before training extensively under legendary yoga guru Pattabi Jois at his Yoga Research Institute in Mysore.
