But it's straight into the hands of Sharjeel who somehow manages to hold on to this one. So, with that, AUSTRALIA FINISH ON 353/6! |
Australia have ended on a high after a comparatively slow middle overs. It has been an enthralling batting performance by the hosts as they have dominated the match with the bat throughout. |
Warner and Khawaja gave the home team a decent start and Smith followed after Khawaja's dismissal. The former got to yet another century on this ground to continue with his rich form from the last Test he played here. Head and Maxwell added 118 runs in the last 10 overs as they got to their respective fifties in no time. |
The Pakistani bowlers were not as bad as the scorecards show because they were not at all supported by their fielders. Hasan Ali was the pick of the bowlers as he ended with his career best figures with 10-0-52-5. The coaches will be dreading after such a poor fielding performance as they kept dropping catches at regular intervals. |
Now it's time for the visitors to put behind their day on the field and come back out roaring to chase the total. They will need a good start if they are to stand a chance today. The surface is a good one for batting and there's no reason they can't pull it off. Do join us for the chase in a short while. |
