But Shikhar Dhawan runs back and takes a very good catch. The partnership which was looking threatening is broken.
Strategic Time-Out! The wicket of Moeen Ali just pushed the game back in Delhi's favour. Delhi were off to a terrific start, getting two wickets quickly but Suresh Raina and Moeen Ali got them back on track and were looking good before Moeen Ali played a rash shot and he perished. Suresh Raina is down for a chat He says that it is always good to be playing for Chennai and that he's happy to contribute for the team. Adds that it was a good partnership between him and Moeen Ali and then Sam Curran and Jadeja did well to finish off the innings. Further says that they have a good score on the board and with their bowling line-up, they can defend it. Finishes by thanking the fans for their constant support.
Right then! Delhi need 189 runs to win in 20 overs. They do have an explosive bowling line-up but it is not going to be easy. Chennai, on the other hand, would want to pick up early wickets. Can Delhi chase it down? We will find out in a while as the chase begins.
A brilliant finish for Chennai in the end, courtesy Sam Curran's blitz. He scored 34 runs off just 15 balls to propel Chennai to score 188 and they will be happy with the score after being put into bat. Delhi, on the other hand, would be a little disappointed with what they did in the 19th over. Chris Woakes did bowl a very good final over but it is a very good score on this wicket.
Chennai started off in the worst possible manner. They lost their openers pretty cheaply but Moeen Ali and Suresh Raina recovered the innings well with a fine 50-run stand but Moeen played a rash shot and got dismissed. Suresh Raina continued and he played a fine knock along with Rayudu, who also played well. They lost a few quick wickets but Sam Curran finished the innings well with a fine 34. Superb finish and he has taken Chennai to over 180.
Delhi were off to a brilliant start! Chris Woakes and Avesh Khan gave them two early breakthroughs but the spinners struggled in the middle overs as Suresh Raina, Moeen Ali and Ambati Rayudu tonked them out of the park. Tom Curran was good at the start but he was carted away in his final over by his brother Sam Curran while Chris Woakes was brilliant on his debut for Delhi. Avesh Khan though stole the show with a fine spell of bowling.

About his technique, Shaw says that after getting dropped from the Indian team during the tour of Australia, he started working on the change in his technique and also spent time with Pravin Amre before the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Rishabh Pant, the Delhi skipper, says that it was good and he was under pressure in the middle phase while bowling but the bowlers did well to restrict Chennai. Goes onto say that it was special for him to captain his first match in the Indian T20 League against MS Dhoni. Tells that they were thinking about missing the services of Nortje and Rabada for this game and the performances of Woakes and Avesh Khan gives them a good headache while selecting the team for the next match.
