This is a length ball, on middle and leg, Ravindra Jadeja whips this one ferociously through square leg and gets a boundary. CHENNAI FINISH ON 191/4!
Chennai started off with a bang with Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad playing well. They gave Chennai a very good start but Gaikwad fell while Raina played a little cameo. Both Raina and du Plessis fell in quick succession and Chennai lost their way a bit and they looked like they will struggle to reach 160 but Harshal Patel conceded 37 runs in his final over to Jadeja who tonked the ball to all parts of the ground and Chennai have ended up with 191 runs.
Ravindra Jadeja, take a bow! What a finish! 154 for 4 at the start of the final over and Chennai finish on 191. Would you believe it? Well, you better, as Jadeja has taken 37 runs from the final over to propel Chennai's score. The dropped catch from Dan Christian has come back to haunt Bangalore hard. Chennai will be very happy and they have the momentum going into the run chase.
Yuzvendra Chahal is in for a chat! He says that this looked like a 170-odd wicket but Jadeja played well but opines that it is okay as they have the resources to chase this down. Feels that on the Mumbai wicket, you can bowl well. States that it is not a proper Mumbai wicket, it is slightly dry. Ends by saying that he is 100% confident on his side.
Bangalore's bowling was good until the final over. They were good with Siraj doing well, as well as Chahal. Sundar did good too. Harshal Patel was brilliant in his first three overs but what happened in the final over, he would not have expected. Jadeja took him to the cleaners and took him for 37 runs in the final over. They were not helped by dropped catches and some poor fielding and that might just haunt them towards the end of the game.
Right then! 192 to win for Bangalore. It won't be easy as the pitch is a little dry but they have the resources to chase it down. Chennai has a very good bowling line-up and they will not make it easy. How will the run chase pan out? We will find out as it begins in a while.
We are back for the run chase!

Good length ball outside off, Kohli looks to cut but the ball bounces slightly more, which takes the outside edge of Kohli's bat and goes to Dhoni, who makes no mistake.

5.5 : There is a slight halt in play as Maxwell needs a change of bat.
6.1 : Ravindra Jadeja to Washington Sundar, Flatter and around off, Sundar pushes it back to the bowler.
6.2 : AB de Villiers comes out to bat now.
Ravindra Jadeja to Washington Sundar, OUT! TAKEN! Sundar's uncomfortable stay out in the middle comes to an end. He looked to be aggressive but he loses his wicket in the process. This is tossed up and he lands it around off, Washington Sundar skips down the track and slams this one towards the deep mid-wicket region. He gets the required elevation on this, but not the distance. Ruturaj Gaikwad settles under this one and takes the skier safely. 127 more needed in 82 balls.

8.5 : Ravindra Jadeja to Glenn Maxwell, OUT! TIMBER! Maxwell goes back now and Chennai are doing really well to take wickets at regular intervals. Bangalore are on the back foot here as they lose another wicket. It is also the big wicket of Maxwell and he would have wanted to stay out there for as long as he could. Bowls a full and floated ball on middle and leg, Glenn Maxwell goes on his knees and looks to slog this one to the leg side but he misses as the ball skids through slightly. Goes ont

Jadeja has been the star with the ball as well. He sent Sundar packing and now has picked up Maxwell. Bangalore need an AB special now if they want to win this game. 10.1 : Ravindra Jadeja to AB de Villiers, OUT! TIMBER! Jadeja is making a mockery of this game. It seems like it is Jadeja vs Bangalore here, and not Chennai. He did it with the bat, and now he is doing it with the ball and out on the field. This is slightly shorter and lands on leg, AB de Villiers makes room and looks to work this one to the off side. But he misses. The ball spins back in and rattles the furniture behind. The run chase has been completely turned on its head by Chennai.

Imran Tahir to Navdeep Saini, OUT! CAUGHT AT FIRST SLIP! Tahir gets another and it is a very good catch at first slip. It has been a complete bowling performance from Chennai. 0.0 : Strategic Time-Out! This contest is all but done and dusted. Chennai will be looking to bowl Bangalore out, whereas the Virat Kohli-led side will want to bat at least their full quota of overs. Mohammed Siraj is the last man in.

What a display this has been by Chennai! Or should we rather say, what a display this has been from Ravindra Jadeja! He took responsibility towards the end of their batting innings and rocked Chennai to a top score, and then, with the ball and out on the field, he put up a god-like display which has propelled Chennai to the top of the table.
Bangalore got the start that they needed, but after that, there was not much assistance, from any of the batters. Padikkal went hard in the Powerplay, but after he lost his wicket shortly after, it was a complete implosion from Bangalore. None of the batters could handle the spin twins of Jadeja and Tahir and that means that Chennai ends Bangalore's unbeaten run this season.
Chennai was on the back foot only in the Powerplay of the run chase and even then, they snared the wicket of Kohli and Padikkal. When Jadeja and Tahir were introduced into the attack, Bangalore completely crumbled. Jadeja was on fire with the bat, with the ball, as he snared 3 wickets, and also scored a run out. Tahir complimented him well. Thakur was also very economical as he ended with figures of 4-0-11-1. Overall though, it was a complete performance in the Men in Yellow.
Earlier in the day, some brilliant hitting firstly by Faf du Plessis, and then some mind-blowing batting by Jadeja, in the final over of the game, where they collected 37 runs, saw Chennai finishing with a top total in the first innings. They backed that display with a brilliant performance in the field and with the ball and they won the game comfortably in the end.
Right then. That is all from this game. But don't go anywhere as the second game of the day between Hyderabad and Delhi is underway at Chennai. Switch over tabs to catch all the action from that game.
Ravindra Jadeja is the Player of the Match. He has been exceptional with the bat, with the ball, and also out on the field. Well deserved!Â
