0.0 : BREAKING NEWS! Hyderabad's T Natarajan has been tested positive for Covid and will not be featuring in the next few matches. Another player, Vijay Shankar, has been asked to isolate, because he was in close contact with Natarajan. 5 other people, from the non-playing staff, have been identified to be in close contact and been asked to follow the rules of isolation. But thankfully, the test results of all the other players conducted this morning have come out to be NEGATIVE. So, heaving a sigh
... Game Day ...
Now with Jonny Bairstow out of the tournament, will David Warner return to the XI? Or will Jason Roy get a look-in? We will have to wait and see. Warner has been a key player for Hyderabad over the years and he would have felt hard done by when he was dropped earlier. If given a chance, he would like to make a statement. He has been a terrific player for Hyderabad over the years and benching him might not be the best idea. What will happen?
One contest we are looking forward to is between Rashid Khan and Rishabh Pant. In the past, Pant has struggled against Rashid and he struggles to pick him. But Pant has been a different player in 2021 and he would look to get the better of Rashid in this game. Rashid though is a very clever bowler and he definitely will not make it easy for Pant and Delhi to go hard against him.
Pitch report - Kevin Pietersen says that this is the same surface that was used in the game between Punjab and Rajasthan. Adds that the pacers have done well here in recent times. Goes onto say that the wicket is great. Tells that it is very hot and he feels that the captain winning the toss should bowl first.
Toss - We are all set for the all-important toss. Up goes the coin and it lands in favour of Hyderabad. They have elected to bat.
Shikhar Dhawan has been left out of India's T20 World Cup squad and now it is his turn to show why it was a mistake from the selectors. He was in wonderful form in the first leg of the tournament and he along with Prithvi Shaw have been the mainstays for Delhi. For them, Shreyas Iyer is back as well after missing out on the first leg due to an injury but Pant remains the captain of the side. This makes them look stronger than ever and it won't be a surprise if Delhi come out on top in this enco
Ready to go again? I bet you all are as Delhi go up against Hyderabad. Both sides have had a different tournament so far. Delhi are on second with 6 wins while Hyderabad have had a tough time, winning just one game and are sitting at the bottom of the table. But the break might have given them the time to think about what they have done wrong and things might change for them for the better in this leg. Delhi, on the other hand, were brilliant in the first leg and they would look to continue the
Kane Williamson, the Hyderabad skipper, says that they will bat first and it looks like a good deck and they will make use of the conditions and put runs on the board. Says that it is a chance for them to regroup and hopes that they have a good second half of the tournament. Informs that he, David Warner, Rashid Khan, and Jason Holder are the four overseas players for this game and they are looking forward to battling against Delhi.
Rishabh Pant, the Delhi skipper, says that he is fine with bowling first as he wanted to do that only. Adds that they are looking to focus on the processes first. Informs that their 4 overseas players are Anrich Nortje, Kagiso Rabada, Shimron Hetmyer and Marcus Stoinis. Also tells that Ashwin is playing instead of Lalit Yadav.
Hyderabad (Playing XI) - David Warner, Wriddhiman Saha (WK), Kane Williamson (C), Manish Pandey, Jason Holder, Abdul Samad, Kedar Jadhav, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed.
Delhi (Playing XI) -  Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (WK/C), Marcus Stoinis, Shimron Hetmyer, Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Avesh Khan.
Rashid Khan is in for a quick chat! He says that they had nothing to lose and take every game as a final and they need to go out and enjoy and entertain the fans. Adds that they just need to keep believing and give their 100 percent and they need to stay positive and the result is secondary for them and their mindset as a team, is what matters the most. Opines that he just looks to keep it simple.
Right. Done with all the pre-match formalities as the action is all set to begin. The Delhi players are in a huddle as Rishabh Pant is giving some final words of wisdom to his players, before they spread out on the field. They still have to worry about Kane Williamson and Manish Pandey, who are out in the middle. The team from the south will look to stitch a goo

19.5 : A superb bowling display this has been from Delhi as they have restricted Hyderabad to just 134! Hyderabad never seemed to get going and their bowlers will need to drop in a very strong display if they are to stop Delhi from taking the two points from this game!
Hyderabad did not get off to a good start and that theme seemed to follow them for the rest of the innings. Warner did not have the best return as he departed for a 3-ball duck. His opening partner, Saha did not last for longer too. Kane Williamson and Manish Pandey were looking decent and stitched a 31-run stand too, but once Williamson fell, they lost wickets quickly. From 60/2, they slipped to 90/6. Samad played a decent hand and Rashid Khan slammed a few boundaries towards the end which sa
19.6 : Delhi were impressive in their outing with the ball. They clicked into gear right from the first ball as they removed Warner in the very first over and never let their tempo drop. They did really well to keep snaring regular wickets and were also good out on the field, with the exception of a couple of drops when Kane Williamson was batting. Anrich Nortje was the star of the show, ending with figures of 2-0-12-2 and bowled with pacy fire and zest. His Protea partner, Kagiso Rabada ended with

Tells that he does not think too much and he keeps it simple. Adds that he tries to quickly identify what is going wrong. Says that there are lot of exercises and it is difficult to explain. Tells that things might be different at night and
Right then. 135 needed for Delhi to win and looking at their batting line-up, you would expect them to chase this down without a lot of trouble. But, Hyderabad have a good bowling attack and they will be waiting to have a go. A good run chase is on the cards. Stay tuned for the same.

A comprehensive win for Delhi! They continue to dominate this season and they will be very pleased with this performance. With this win, they go to the top of the table once again, replacing Chennai. Hyderabad, on the other hand, have lost once again and things keep on getting tougher and tougher for them this year. They will now need a miracle if they want to stay alive.
Delhi started decently as Prithvi Shaw started in an attacking fashion but he departed soon and then Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer took matters in their own hands. Dhawan played some lovely shots and was looking very solid before he fell. It seemed like Hyderabad could make a comeback in the game but that thought was put to bed by Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant as they played really well and took Delhi home. It was a happy return for Iyer who looked uncomfortable at the start but then looked i
Hyderabad had too few runs on the board, one might say. They tried really hard with the ball but it was not to be. Hyderabad did keep it tight in the middle overs, kept the runs down for a bit but Delhi had no pressure of the required run rate and that went against Hyderabad. Rashid was played out easily while Bhuvneshwar Kumar was expensive. Khaleel Ahmed was decent but overall, it was a tough game with the ball for Hyderabad.
Earlier in the game, a brilliant bowling performance from Delhi saw them restricting Hyderabad to just 134 on the board. Anrich Nortje was the star of the show with the ball while he was well supported by the other bowlers as well. For Hyderabad, it was a disappointing outing as none of their batsmen could get going and if not for some cameos from the lower order, they would have not even reached 134. A disappointing performance from Hyderabad. Stay tuned for the presentation ceremony!!!
Kane Williamson, the Hyderabad skipper, says that they did not have the best starts and managed to build slight partnerships but feels that they were around 25-30 runs short. Adds that the effort with the ball was really good but it did not work out. Says that if they play at their best, they can beat anybody. Tells that Delhi are a really good side and Nortje and Rabada put them under a lot of pressure and losing early wickets harmed their chances.
Shikhar Dhawan is in for a chat! He says that he is enjoying wearing the Orange Cap and he is liking the way he is timing the ball. Says that the surface was stopping a bit, but it was good to play after a while and good to get a win under their belt. Tells that he consciously made the effort to improve his tempo, so that the team gets a good start. On Rabada and Nortje, Dhawan says that they are really great and Rabada always comes on and gets wicket when needed and Nortje is growing well.
Rishabh Pant, the winning skipper of Delhi, says that they had a good first phase but they needed to continue further. Adds that they just focus on the process. Says that the wicket was good, they thought 150-160 will be posted but the bowlers did well to restrict them. Adds that he feels he can play the finishing role and he is happy to do it for the team, especially as the captain.
Right then! That's all from this game! Delhi move to the top with 14 points while Hyderabad keep on struggling at the bottom. They have a lot of work to do and they would need to win every game from here to have a chance to make it to the playoffs. The Indian T20 League action continues on Thursday, 23rd September 2021 as Mumbai go up against Kolkata. That match will begin at 6 pm local (2 pm GMT). But as you all know, the build-up will begin much earlier. Till then, cheers and take care.
Anrich Nortje, the Man of the Match, says that he was disappointed missing the first phase but he is happy to be back and is glad that he could help the team. Adds that they tried to keep it simple till the end. Says that it was good to take the wicket of Warner.
