Head tries to force it through the off side but gets an inside edge on the leg stump. Maybe the ball did not come onto the bat there, shades of the wicket getting slow? Nevertheless, Head is walking back and it's a big blow for the Aussies. Just like in the one-dayers they are collapsing here as well. |

16.6 : B Kumar to Tim Paine, Very full, almost a yorker, bunted past the bowler down the ground for a single. |
It has started to drizzle. There was a forecast for rain in the evening and as far as Australia are concerned, they will certainly hope so! |

Update 2205 local - We will have play today! It will start at 2215 local. The patience has paid off. The groundsmen have done a wonderful job to get the ground ready in time. It will be a six-over game with India needing 48. The Australian bowlers are already seen warming up... |
Another dismal batting show from Australia! They got off to the most torrid start by losing their skipper, Warner in the very first over. Finch and Maxwell did manage to steady the ship and were stitching a good partnership but once again, it were the spin twins, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav who weaved their magic in the middle overs. These two combined, had figures of 8-0-39-3, tells you the story of the visitors' struggle against the spin. |
Finch was the only batsman who looked good for the Australian side but he too fell prey to Yadav. Australia then could never recover and to make matters worse the rain unfortunately folded their innings. The wicket is slow and has assistance for the bowlers but the tourists will feel they are still under par. India will back themselves to chase this down with the batting line-up they have. The Kangaroos on the other hand will have to bowl very well to defend a low total. Stay tuned for the chase |
