0.0 : The T20 World Cup has started with a bang with Oman and Scotland getting first hand on victory in Group B and now it's time for Group A match where Ireland and Netherlands are set to lock horns in Match 3 of the T20 World Cup qualifiers. Ireland played two warm-up matches before heading into this fixture and won both of them. While Netherlands started the warm-up matches with a hefty defeat at the hands of Scotland but bounced back with a win against Oman. Both teams would look to carry forward |
Many fans will remember how the Dutch side famously chased a target of 190 in just 13.5 overs in the 2014 T20 World Cup qualifying round and booked themselves a place in the Super 10. The Dutch team leads the head-to-head record by 2-0 against Ireland in T20 World Cup matches as well. They have a good unit of players who can be very effective and have the ability to catch teams off-guard, especia |
Ireland failed to qualify for Super 10 in the 2016 T20 World Cup but this time under the leadership of Andy Balbirnie, the squad looks much stronger and better. NETHERLANDS FINISH WITH 106! |
Not the best performance from Netherlands, after opting to bat first. Max O'Dowd was the wall for the Netherlands, because of his composed innings. It was then the brilliance of Curtis Campher which killed the middle order in a blink of an e |
The hero with the ball, Curtis Campher, is down for a chat, he says that it was just good to be out in the park and play cricket. Right then! 106 runs needed in 120 balls and it will be very interesting to see how the veteran openers of Ireland will proceed with the innings. Will they go bang from the very first ball? We shall find out soon as the second half is just on the other side. |
... THE RUN CHASE ... |
This has been a sparkling bowling performance from Ireland. Not just from Curtis Campher but as a whole group. Nothing to take away from the brilliance of Mark Adair, as he too chipped in 3 wickets while giving away just 9 runs - the most economical figures by an Irishman in T |
We are back for the chase! |
This is an excellent performance from Ireland as they have shown what they are capable of. Their bowlers have been top-notch from the word go and they will be very happy going into the break.
