DRINKS! A watchful start from the Windies. The pitch is not easy to bat on and West Indies have done relatively well so far but now it's time for them to unleash. 13.1 : Josh Little to Nicholas Pooran, What a stop that is in the end! Brilliant! Shorter and on middle, this is pulled towards deep square leg. 13.5 : Josh Little to Nicholas Pooran, Goes fuller this time and on off, Pooran pushes it down to long off and takes one.
13.6 : Josh Little to Brandon King, A dot to end! Decent comeback by the bowler in the second half of the over! Shorter and on middle, King pulls but to mid on.
14.1 : Gareth Delany to Nicholas Pooran, OUT! STRAIGHT TO THE FIELDER! Gareth Delany gets another one and this is the big wicket of the Windies skipper who falls for a low score again. This is tossed up, well wide outside off, it was there to be hit and Pooran does strike it well. He though ends up hitting it straight to sweeper cover where it is taken by Harry Tector. It may have been the googly and hence, Pooran ended up hitting it a lot squarer than he would have liked. Timely wicket as the tw

The last ball spoils what was a brilliant over till then.

19.5 : Mark Adair to Odean Smith, FOUR! Carved away! Another boundary and Windies will end near 150. This is full and outside off, Smith carves it over the point fielder for a boundary.
19.6 : West Indies were off to a watchful start and were just too cautious till the end. A bit more running and a few more lusty blows could have helped them dearly with the score. Still, this one is a competitive one barring how the pitch is playing. It is two-paced and not easy to bat. The Windies kept on losing wickets regularly but King was the mainstay. He batted throughout and his fifty along with Smith's important innings at the backend helped them get near 150.
Ireland will be happy as well with this score. Their discipline bowling has helped them keep West Indies away from a big score. Ireland bowled well. The slower balls clearly worked as four of the five wickets went to the spinners. Ireland have given a really good chance to chase this down.
Right then! A do-or-die game for both teams! The first half is done. West Indies will look to bowl well and take a couple of wickets early on while Ireland will hope that the openers give a good start. An interesting chase is coming up...

A full toss outside off, it is hit through covers. They take one and go for the second. That is the longer boundary and hence, Smith takes on the arm. The throw comes to the keeper who whips the bails off and appeals but replays show that Smith is in.
19.6 : Mark Adair to Odean Smith, A dot to end! Smith can't believed that has not been wided. Adair might have got away with one there. This is wide outside off, outside the tramline. Smith leaves it alone thinking it is a wide but not given. WEST INDIES END WITH 146!

Ireland have knocked the two-time World Champions out in some fashion. What a victory for Ireland. A day to remember for them! Ireland qualify for the next round. A one-sided affair and its time for the Windies to pack their bags and go home. Too early for the two-time champions but they were beaten comprehensively.
West Indies opted to bat first and it turned out to be a very bad decision. Apart from Brandon King, no one turned up with the bat. They finished with a below par score and Ireland made a mockery of it. Paul Stirling, who was having one of the worst years with the bat, turned his form around and played one of his most important innings. Lorcan Tucker supported him and played brilliant innings as well. A comprehensive win and a proud day for the Irish people to remember.
The spinners were getting more purchases on the pitch and West Indies came up with just one, Akeal Hosein. The pacers were taken to the cleaners. Right from the start, West Indies were on the back foot and there was never a moment where the Windies thought they had a chance. A poor performance from them overall.
