| Ireland have knocked the two-time World Champions out in some fashion. What a victory for Ireland. A day to remember for them! Ireland qualify for the next round. A one-sided affair and its time for the Windies to pack their bags and go home. Too early for the two-time champions but they were beaten comprehensively. |
| West Indies opted to bat first and it turned out to be a very bad decision. Apart from Brandon King, no one turned up with the bat. They finished with a below par score and Ireland made a mockery of it. Paul Stirling, who was having one of the worst years with the bat, turned his form around and played one of his most important innings.
