1.6 : J Bumrah to C Gayle, Bowls a bouncer, Gayle does well to duck under it. Just 3 runs from the over. Good start from Jasprit Bumrah. |
2.1 : J Behrendorff to L Rahul, FOUR! Classic! Top shot! Save your legs. Back of a length and on off, Rahul stands tall and punches it through covers for the first boundary of the game. Ideal start to this one after two quiet overs. |
2.2 : J Behrendorff to L Rahul, Goes back to bowling on the stumps this time, the batter strokes it to mid on. |
2.3 : J Behrendorff to L Rahul, Strange shot there! Rahul looks to work it through the leg side, not sure that is a clever shot as it is against the angle. The ball hits the top portion of the bat and rolls towards mid off. |
2.4 : J Behrendorff to L Rahul, A little too straight and this is clipped around the corner for a single. |
2.5 : J Behrendorff to C Gayle, Lovely shot! This is angled into Gayle. He whips it through mid-wicket. There is protection in the deep so just a single. |
2.6 : J Behrendorff to L Rahul, Another single to end! So despite it going for a boundary early, it only costs Mumbai 7. Once again the line is a little too straight, Rahul works it towards wide mid on and takes a run. |

3.1 : A Joseph to L Rahul, Good start by Joseph. Length and on the off pole, Rahul goes back and blocks it out. |

3.5 : A Joseph to L Rahul, SIX! High and handsome! How stylish was that? Joseph angles it on the pads, Rahul says thank you very much and he nonchalantly flicks it high up in the air, it has the distance too as it goes over the backward square leg fence. First of the game. |
3.6 : A Joseph to L Rahul, Nicely bowled by Joseph. On a good length on off, Rahul taps it towards point for a single. |
4.1 : J Behrendorff to L Rahul, Length delivery on middle, Rahul flicks it towards mid-wicket for a run. There could have been a second but the batsmen stick with a single in this case. |
4.2 : J Behrendorff to C Gayle, SIX! Gayle gets into the act! He has absolutely smoked that. Right in Gayle's zone. Full and on middle, Chris lofts it over the long on fence. |
4.3 : J Behrendorff to C Gayle, SIX! Two-in-two! This is even bigger than the last one. Once again it is a poor delivery. Length and on middle, sits up to be hit. Gayle pulls it with aplomb, over the mid-wicket fence. This could be a big, big over. 13 from it already. |
4.4 : J Behrendorff to C Gayle, Good change in pace there! He bowls the slower one and on middle, Gayle does not pick it and he pushes it to mid off. |
4.5 : J Behrendorff to C Gayle, FOUR! This time Gayle picks the slower one and bags a boundary! Slower but there is width on offer and with no fielder in the deep on the off side that is just bad bowling. Gayle slaps it over covers and a boundary results. |
4.6 : J Behrendorff to C Gayle, SIX! Maximum to end! 23 from this over, a huge one and a much-needed one. Jason once again makes the mistake of bowling it too full on middle, Gayle easily strokes it over the bowler's head. The timing is such that it carries all the way. |
Jasprit Bumrah is back into the attack. |
5.1 : J Bumrah to L Rahul, Full on middle, Rahul flicks it towards square leg for a run. |
5.2 : J Bumrah to C Gayle, On a good length and outside off, Gayle leaves it alone. Chris Gayle is looking not to take big risk against Bumrah. |
5.3 : J Bumrah to C Gayle, Short of a length delivery on leg, Gayle nudges it towards fine leg. Siddhesh Lad chases it and does well to stop it. The batsmen take a run. |
5.4 : J Bumrah to L Rahul, FOUR! Excellent placement! You have got brute force at one end and sublime timing at the other. It is the off cutter and it is a touch short. Rahul waits for it, goes back and then punches it through the gap in the cover region. |
5.5 : J Bumrah to L Rahul, 50 up for the visitors and it has come up in good time! Length and outside off, Rahul guides it down to third man for a single. |
5.6 : J Bumrah to C Gayle, A good finish by Bumrah. Back of a length on off and it is angling away. Gayle plays inside the line and lets it be. 7 from the last over of the Powerplay. Good work done from the visitors - They started off cautiously but once the two openers got their eyes in, they stepped on the gas. 6.3 : A Joseph to L Rahul, FOUR! A calypso style lofted drive! The slower ball and it is outside off, Rahul has his back leg up in the air and then just picks it over the mid off fielder. A boundary! 11 from the first three balls. |
6.4 : A Joseph to L Rahul, On a good length on middle, Rahul flicks it towards square leg where Suryakumar Yadav does well to stop it and saves a run for the team. |
6.5 : A Joseph to L Rahul, Full on middle, Rahul drives it towards long on for a run. |
6.6 : A Joseph to C Gayle, On a good length on off, Gayle plays it towards covers. The fielder fires a direct hit at the stumps at the bowler's end but the batsman was well in. The batsmen cross ends. Big over for Punjab as 13 runs have come from this over. |
Strategic break. A watchful start from Punjab and then their openers have pressed on the accelerator. Both, Gayle and Rahul are looking in ominous touch and Mumbai need to strike quickly to separate this dangerous pair. Time for spin. Rahul Chahar is into the attack. |
7.1 : R Chahar to C Gayle, Gayle misses out there! A poor one to begin with by Chahar. It is bowled down the leg side, Gayle looks to sweep it fine but is a little too early in the shot, it goes off the back of the bat and to short fine leg. |
7.2 : R Chahar to C Gayle, Tossed up on off, Gayle plays drives it towards mid off for a single. |
7.3 : R Chahar to L Rahul, FOUR! WOW! What a shot! Excellent use of the wrists there. It is slightly fuller than Chahar should be bowling but still not a bad ball. Rahul plants his front foot ahead and then whips it through mid-wicket. It is in the gap in that region and a boundary. |

Hardik Pandya is on now! |
8.1 : H Pandya to L Rahul, Drop and run! You do not see that a lot when Gayle is batting. Rahul taps it towards point and calls for a single, Gayle obliges and they complete it. |
8.2 : H Pandya to C Gayle, SIX! That is colossal! Gayle has picked the bones out of that one! It is short which is a good option against Gayle but you have to bowl at his body. This is on middle and nicely sitting up for the batsman. CG pulls it way over the square leg fence for a huge one. |
8.3 : H Pandya to C Gayle, FOUR! Save your legs Hardik Pandya! Brute! This is fuller and on off, Gayle smashes it just past the bowler and to the long on fence. |
8.4 : H Pandya to C Gayle, WIDE! Pressure, pressure getting to the bowler! He tries to bowl it out of Gayle's reach but ends up bowling it way too wide. It has been wided. |
H Pandya to C Gayle, FOUR! SLAPPED! Gayle is in some mood here! Hardik is just not sure where to bowl to him. This time he tries to bowl length and outside off. Gayle stands tall and slaps it through covers for a boundary. 16 runs and there are still two balls to go. |
8.5 : H Pandya to C Gayle, Once again, Hardik looks to stay away from Gayle's hitting zone but ends up bowling it outside the tramline on the off side. Wided. |
H Pandya to C Gayle, This time he executes what he has been trying to do. Bowls this one just inside the wide line, Gayle lets it be. |
8.6 : H Pandya to C Gayle, A dot to end with. Some respite for Hardik Pandya. On a good length and outside off, Gayle taps it to covers. Tremendous over for Punjab. 17 runs have come from it. |
9.1 : R Chahar to L Rahul, A chance? Tough to say that! Rahul looks to be cheeky as he tries the reverse sweep. It comes right off the face of the bat but straight towards the keeper. De Kock fails to react in time as the ball hits him on the pads and rolls towards short fine leg for a run. |
9.2 : R Chahar to C Gayle, Short and outside off, Gayle cuts it to covers. |
9.3 : R Chahar to C Gayle, Tossed up on leg, Chris looks to flick but gets hit on the thigh pad. |
9.4 : R Chahar to C Gayle, Flighted delivery on leg, Gayle looks to sweep but gets hit low on the pads. Chahar appeals for lbw but the umpire shakes his head. Probably it might be pitching outside leg. |
9.5 : R Chahar to C Gayle, BEATEN! Nicely bowled! It is the googly which he lands on off, the ball turns away a little. Gayle looks to defend but the ball spins past the outside edge. |
9.6 : R Chahar to C Gayle, SIX! BANG! Chahar, due to the last delivery, gives this one more air in the hope of more turn. He though bowls it way too full. The spin is completely out of contention and Gayle tonks it over the long off fence. Spoils the over, still a good one but had that not gone for a biggie, it would have been a tremendous over. |
Krunal Pandya is into the attack. |
10.1 : K Pandya to L Rahul, Floated on off, Rahul plays it towards point for a run. |
10.2 : K Pandya to C Gayle, SIX! How easy was that? A very slow and short delivery by Krunal. Gayle waits for it and shows tremendous power to loft it over the long on fence off the back foot. It also brings his 50 up and he does it in style. The dugout is up clapping the effort. A ton is on offer here. Also, the 100 is up for Punjab. |
10.3 : K Pandya to C Gayle, Krunal fires this one full and on off, Gayle smartly hits it down to long off for a single. |
10.4 : K Pandya to L Rahul, In the air... but the ball lands in no man's land. Krunal nicely slows it up, seeing that Rahul uses his feet but does not get to the pitch of the ball. He still goes ahead with the shot. Ends up slicing it in the cover region and the batsmen take two. |
10.5 : K Pandya to L Rahul, Rahul tries to be cheeky as he tries to play the paddle. Is a little early in the shot and it goes off the toe-end back to the bowler. Not sure he needs to do this with Gayle at the other end. |
10.6 : K Pandya to L Rahul, Well bowled! This is fired very full and outside off, Rahul looks to jam it out but fails to put bat on ball. Another productive over for the visitors. |
11.1 : R Chahar to C Gayle, SIX! Gayle is unstoppable! Chahar begins this over with a maximum. He delivers a full and flighted ball wide outside off, Gayle kneels and sends it packing over long on. |

11.5 : R Chahar to L Rahul, Flatter and shorter on off, punched from the back foot to covers. |
11.6 : R Chahar to L Rahul, Fullish and on leg, Rahul clips it through mid-wicket and keeps strike with himself. Good comeback by Chahar after going for a biggie first ball. |

12.2 : J Behrendorff to C Gayle, Full on off, Gayle looks to go big but it goes of the inner half of the bat towards mid-wicket for a single. |
12.3 : J Behrendorff to L Rahul, Short delivery on leg, Rahul under edges his attempted pull shot behind to the keeper. |
12.4 : J Behrendorff to L Rahul, Fifty for KL Rahul now. Three consecutive fifties for him now. 14th in the League. His half ton is not as exciting as his partner but he has done a very good job. Needs to get going now though. He gets there with a single as he pushes it towards cover. Gayle though is down on his haunches after completing the run. |
Stoppage in play. Chris Gayle probably is feeling the heat. The physio rushes out. |
12.5 : J Behrendorff to C Gayle, OUT! In the air... taken! Mumbai get the wicket they so desperately wanted! Jason bowls it full and on middle, Gayle clears his front leg and looks to clear the mid-wicket fence. Does not get the desired distance as it is not off the middle and Krunal there in the deep holds onto the catch. A tired Gayle walks back but he has done a fine job. The foundation is set for the batters to come. Can Punjab capitalize or will Mumbai pull things back? |
David Miller is the new batsman in. |
12.6 : J Behrendorff to D Miller, On a length on middle, Miller flicks it towards mid-wicket and gets off the mark. Just 4 from Behrendorff's last along with the prized wicket of Gayle. He finishes with figures of 4-0-35-1. |
13.1 : R Chahar to D Miller, That almost rolls onto the stumps. Miller shows good awareness to kick it away. The leg spinner which pitches outside off and turns back in. Miller does not pick it and plays it very late. He gets a bottom edge and the ball seems to be rolling back onto the stumps but David kicks it away. |
13.2 : R Chahar to D Miller, Floated on middle, Miller plays it towards long on for a run. |
13.3 : R Chahar to L Rahul, Short on off, Rahul makes room and cuts it through point. The batsmen pick up a couple. |

13.6 : R Chahar to D Miller, Bowls a leg spinner on leg, Miller looks to defend but gets an inside edge onto the pads. Rahul Chahar finishes with figures of 4-0-27-0. Outstanding work from the leggie. |
The strategic break has been signaled! Mumbai have broken through the opening stand and probably just at the right time. 6 more overs to go, if Mumbai can manage to pull things back and somehow keep the visitors under 180, they would be the happier side heading into the break. Punjab, on the other hand, have Rahul, who is set out there, and with still a lot of batting to come, they would hope to end strongly. Hardik Pandya is back. |
14.1 : H Pandya to L Rahul, Excellent fielding! The slower one outside off, Rahul may have been foxed but still manages to loft it over covers and wide of long off. Jason in the latter position runs to his left and then just before the ball crosses the ropes, pushes it back in. Two taken. |
14.2 : H Pandya to L Rahul, Full on middle, Rahul drives it towards long on for a run. |
14.3 : H Pandya to D Miller, Full on middle, Miller drives it towards mid on for a run. |
14.4 : H Pandya to L Rahul, Short of a length delivery outside off, Rahul cuts it towards point for a single. |
14.5 : H Pandya to D Miller, FOUR! STREAKY BUT EFFECTIVE! Full and outside off, Miller throws his bat at it but the ball flies off the outside edge and through the gap between point and short third man for a boundary. |
14.6 : H Pandya to D Miller, Another wide by Hardik! He is not happy with himself. Bowls it way too wide outside off, Miller lets it be. It has been wided. |
H Pandya to D Miller, OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! The ploy to bowl full and wide has paid off for Pandya. He lets out a huge roar as he is delighted to get a wicket. Miller once again throws his bat at it but this time the ball takes the outside edge and goes into the mitts of the keeper. The dangerous Miller does not make an impact, his promotion does not work. Mumbai managing to crawl back into the game here. |
Karun Nair is the new batsman in. Krunal Pandya comes back into the attack. |
15.1 : K Pandya to L Rahul, Floated on off, Rahul plays it towards point for a run. |
15.2 : K Pandya to K Nair, Tossed up on middle, Nair makes room and plays it over covers. It lands in no man's land. The batsmen cross ends. |
15.3 : K Pandya to L Rahul, Full on off, Rahul drives it through covers for a single. |
15.4 : K Pandya to K Nair, Full toss on middle, Nair plays a slog sweep over mid-wicket. Rahul Chahar at deep mid-wicket tries to collect but fumbles. The batsmen pick up a couple. Karun Nair misses out on a boundary. It was a good opportunity for him. |

15.6 : K Pandya to L Rahul, Flighted delivery on middle, Rahul flicks it towards square leg for a run. |
16.1 : H Pandya to L Rahul, In the air... safe again! Outside off, Rahul goes after it. It is not off the middle and it goes on the bounce to sweeper cover. A single only. |
16.2 : H Pandya to K Nair, Short and on the body, Nair pulls it towards fine leg. The fielder misfields but does not concede an extra run. |
16.3 : H Pandya to L Rahul, Well bowled again! Just three from the first three balls. Pandya bowls it full and on the stumps, Rahul looks to whip it but gets an inside edge onto the pads. The ball rolls towards the off side and a run is taken. |
16.4 : H Pandya to K Nair, Now a dot! Top bowling! A yorker on off, Karun jams it out towards the bowler. |
16.5 : H Pandya to K Nair, OUT! This over keeps getting better for Mumbai as Hardik gets Karun. Punjab losing their way here. Pandya goes for the yorker but ends up bowling a low full toss. Nair looks to slog sweep it but the bat turns in his hands. It goes off the top edge and it is a skier for Chahar at deep square leg. He judges it well and takes it nicely. |
Sam Curran is the new batsman in. |
16.6 : H Pandya to L Rahul, Two is the call, they push for it and they get it! Slower ball and on middle, Rahul works it through wide mid on and takes two. A brilliant 17th by Pandya, just the 5 runs and a wicket from it. |
Jasprit Bumrah is back into the attack. |
17.1 : J Bumrah to Sam Curran, FOUR! Lovely shot to open your account. Much-needed boundary and the ideal start to this over for the visitors. Length delivery by Bumrah and it is going away from the angle after pitching on off. Curran on the up, strokes it over covers and bags a boundary |
17.2 : J Bumrah to Sam Curran, FOUR! Consecutive boundaries! Curran has come out all guns blazing. 150 up. Full and wide again outside off, Curran throws his bat at it, gets it over covers. The fielder in the deep looks to stop it with a dive but fails to do so. |
17.3 : J Bumrah to Sam Curran, OUT! Bumrah has the last laugh! Curran tries to be cheeky as he looks to paddle scoop it. The pace though has been taken off on this delivery. Hence, he only manages to lob it towards the keeper who does not make any mistake. |
Mandeep Singh is the new batsman in. |
17.4 : J Bumrah to L Rahul, Very wide! That has surely slipped out of Bumrah's hand. It is bowled way too wide outside off, bounces in front of de Kock who does not stop it cleanly and the batters take a single. |
J Bumrah to M Singh, Very full and on middle, Singh hits it down to long on for a single. |
17.5 : J Bumrah to L Rahul, FOUR! Brilliant shot! The use of the wrists was outstanding there. It is full and outside off. KL Rahul at the very end just opens the face and guides it through backward point for a boundary. 15 from the over, can they make it a 21-run over or a 19-run over? |
17.6 : J Bumrah to L Rahul, Nope, as it ends with a single. Full and on middle, this is hit down to long on for a single. Still though an excellent over for the visitors. 16 from it. |
18.1 : H Pandya to L Rahul, SIX! Bang! What a fine shot! Rahul shows no mercy on his best friend. The length is on the shorter side outside off, KL holds his pose inside the crease and spanks it over extra cover. |
18.2 : H Pandya to L Rahul, FOUR! Uppish but wide of the cover fielder inside the ring. Hardik tries the slower one but bowls it too wide outside off. Rahul latches onto it and forces it over the jumping cover fielder for a boundary. |
18.3 : H Pandya to L Rahul, SIX! 16 from 3 balls. KL Rahul is on fire. Receives a short ball this time, he stays back inside the crease and pulls it massively over fine leg for a biggie. |
18.4 : H Pandya to L Rahul, SIX! Boom! Rahul has taken Hardik to the cleaners. A back of a length delivery outside off, KL clears his front leg and pumps it over long off for a flat maximum. |
18.5 : H Pandya to L Rahul, Finally gets it right, Hardik. A yorker outside off, Rahul digs it out towards point for one. |
18.6 : H Pandya to M Singh, Fine delivery, yet again but 25 runs off the over. A near yorker on middle, Mandeep keeps it out off the inner half to mid-wicket and rushes back for the second run. The throw from the deep was very poor, otherwise the second run could have been close. |
19.1 : J Bumrah to L Rahul, SIX! THAT IS MASSIVE! He moves onto 98! Bumrah misses the yorker but just, Rahul just whips it and it goes over the mid-wicket stand. A biggie to begin the last over. |
19.2 : J Bumrah to L Rahul, Excellent comeback! Bends his back on this one and bowls it on a length and outside off, it zips through. Rahul looks to cut but misses. |
19.3 : J Bumrah to L Rahul, Two dots now as this is another quick bumper and on the body. Rahul is late on the pull. He wants a wide but it is not given. Bumrah really did not like getting hit for the biggie, the last two balls have really zipped through. |
19.4 : J Bumrah to L Rahul, Rahul smashes this towards long off. They take one, Rahul slips at the bowler's end but he still manages to complete the second. Brings up his ton. His maiden century in this league. What a knock this is. Just brilliant. He played second fiddle to Gayle but stayed out there and has accelerated when his team needed. Takes his helmet off and then soaks in all the applause by the crowd and his teammates. |
19.5 : J Bumrah to L Rahul, That was quick! Wow! Another short one and on the body. Rahul is way too late in the pull shot. The ball hits him on the shoulder. He throws his bat straightaway but then realizes Agarwal has almost reached him. He then goes for a single. The fielder at point does not have a shy. |
19.6 : J Bumrah to M Singh, FOUR! Mandeep ends proceedings with a boundary. Back of a length delivery outside off, Mandeep stays back and slaps it through backward point for a boundary. 13 from the last over and 38 from the last two. Punjab finish on 197/4! |
That's a big total posted on the board by Punjab. Mumbai, though, will feel that it could have been even worse. After a quiet beginning, the pair of Gayle and Rahul exploded. They took the Mumbai bowlers to the cleaners and amassed runs at will. They put together a century stand in very quick time and Punjab looked well on course for a total in excess of 200. A moment in the game when the Jamaican felt the heat and called the physio resulted in the visiting team losing some momentum as the West |
Mumbai were brilliant in the first four overs but then were equally poor in the next 8 overs or so. They did make a comeback of sorts after removing Gayle as a few wickets fell in a hurry but then KL Rahul took control and scored a scintillating hundred. The hosts completely lost the plot in the last three overs where they ended up conceding 54 runs. Rahul Chahar was the standout bowler for them as amidst all the carnage, he bowled four economical overs. |
Lokesh Rahul is up for an interview. Starts up by saying that he honestly thought the way they started they should have ended with 200 easily but the wickets in between stopped the run flow. Adds up that they are happy with the way they finished. States that the plan with Gayle was to play normal cricketing shots in the Powerplay and if they do that they would make good runs. Informs that he looked to take it deep so he could hit in the death overs but he delayed going after the bowlers by a cou |
The pitch is a belter and Mumbai also have the resources in their batting to scale this target. Rohit Sharma is missing today and that's a blow but still the hosts will be banking on the likes of Quinton de Kock, Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav to deliver the goods. We are expecting a cracking chase. Do join us in a short while. |

0.3 : A Rajpoot to S Lad, SIX! Wow! A dream start to his Indian T20 League career. A biggie. Yes, it is a freebie but you have to put them away. Short and down the leg side, Lad pulls it over the fine leg fence for a maximum. |
0.4 : A Rajpoot to S Lad, FOUR! Now a boundary! Once again, Rajpoot is guilty of bowling it on the pads, Lad flicks it over backward square leg and the ball races away to the fence. |
0.5 : A Rajpoot to S Lad, Corrects his line and bowls it on the off pole. The batter blocks it out. Sensible batting. |
0.6 : A Rajpoot to S Lad, Goes full again on middle, Lad pushes it back to the bowler. Two dots to end but an excellent start for Mumbai. 11 from it. |

2.5 : A Rajpoot to de Kock, Full on the leg stump line, de Kock punches it to mid on and takes off for the run. Completes it easily in the end. |
Moises Henriques is on the field in place of Chris Gayle. The West Indian felt a bit unwell while batting and understandably, he has not come out. |
2.6 : A Rajpoot to S Lad, Bowls it on a length outside off, Lad was ready for it as he drives it uppishly over covers. The ball goes in the deep as Ashwin from covers gives it a chase and stops it just inside the ropes. Three runs taken in the process. 14 runs from Rajpoot's second. |
3.1 : M Shami to S Lad, Slightly short in length and close to off stump, Lad turns inside the crease with the pull shot but fails to get enough timing. He ends up playing it straight to square leg. |

4.2 : A Rajpoot to S Yadav, DROPPED BY MILLER! Dear me, he is the last fielder you will associate a dropped catch with. A shortish ball outside off, Suryakumar plays a back foot punch uppishly in the direction of backward point. He still goes on with the shot and lofts it in the deep. Miller moves swiftly to his left from long off and takes a |

What a humdinger! Phew! A last-ball thriller is what we all want to watch and that's what was served tonight. A chase which didn't go accordingly to the plan for Mumbai turned out to be quite close all thanks to Kieron Pollard. The West Indian promoted himself up the order and played one heck of a knock to achieve this victory. |
Earlier, KL Rahul and Chris Gayle went berserk and set the platform for a big score for Punjab. They stuttered a bit but then courtesy Rahul's century they posted 197 runs on the board. Chasing a stiff target, Mumbai kept losing wickets at regular intervals and always appeared behind the 8-ball. Kieron Pollard, though, held one end tightly and then unleashed when it mattered the most. His stands first with Hardik Pandya and then with Alzarri Joseph were very crucial in this run chase. Pollard ge |
Punjab will be disappointed with the outcome. They dominated for most parts during the run chase but failed to keep the same intensity in the end overs. Mohammed Shami (4-0-21-3) was exceptional but same cannot be said for the other bowlers. When put under pressure, they just fell apart and that cost them the game. Here is what Ravichandran Ashwin has to say... |
Ravichandran Ashwin says the injury to Ankit Rajpoot was a problem for them and getting three overs out of him in the Powerplay was a bonus. Reckons the total was just about par with the dew and adds that it's a tough ground to defend. Mentions they were good with the ball in bits and pieces but could not end it well. Also, says that Sam Curran was under the pump and it is not easy bowling against Pollard and hopes that he will learn from this experience. States there are a few positives like Ra |
Hardik Pandya, who is up for an interview as well, starts by crediting Pollard for the way he batted. On his own batting, Pandya mentions the situation demanded him to go from the first ball itself. Also adds that the way they recovered in the chase from a precarious situation and brought the equation down to 4 runs off 4 balls, he thought that the game was in the bag. |
Man of the Match and the victorious Mumbai skipper, Kieron Pollard says this knock is right up there among the best. Dedicates his innings to his wife who is celebrating her birthday today. States he enjoys batting at Wankhede and promoted himself up the order to target the spinners. Further adds that he wanted to keep calm. Also says the wicket was a difficult one to bowl on and praises his bowlers for pulling things back but admits that they didn't end well. He is happy to end on the winning s |
