Commentary :
0.0 : Hello and welcome to the last game of the Super Four stage between Pakistan and Bangladesh. A lot is at stake here today as the winner goes through to take on India in the final. Both the reams will be eager to get over the finish line. The Tigers have momentum on their side but have struggled against Pakistan. However, the Men in Green have just not looked at their best in this tournament. They head into this game after a morale-deflating defeat and it would be interesting to see if they have r
Pitch Report - Ramiz Raja says the boundaries are quite big on either side, so the spinners would be a little assured about the mishits not travelling all the way. Mentions there's a little bit of grass, but it will only hold the surface together and the wicket will be good for batting. Reckons the team winning the toss should bat first and get around 250 on the board. Ends by saying that use the new ball well under lights and then unleash the spinners in the second half.
Toss - Up goes the coin and it lands in the favor of Bangladesh. They will bat first.
Mashrafe Mortaza says it looks a good wicket to bat on. Mentions they lost a few wickets early in the last game and they are hoping for a good start this time. Admits the top order is struggling but they would hope they can do better. Informs they have quite a few changes as Nazmul Hossain Shanto is not playing and Soumya Sarkar comes in place of him. Adds Shakib Al Hasan is out as he is injured and Mominul Haque takes his place and Rubel Hossain comes in place of Nazmul Islam.
Sarfraz Ahmed says the conditions are different in the night but any score can be chased down here. Reckons the batsmen have to stick to their natural game and they will probably do well. Adds further that Bangladesh's batting is long and they will look to bowl them out quickly. informs there is one change as Junaid Khan comes in for Mohammad Amir.
The players make their way out for their respective national anthems.
Done and dusted with the national anthems and the players make their way out to the middle. Liton Das and Soumya Sarkar are the openers for Bangladesh. The former will be on strike and he will face Junaid Khan who has the first new ball in hand. A slip in place for him. Here we go...
0.1 : J Khan to L Das, A little bit of swing in and Bangladesh are underway. Full and coming in on middle and leg, Liton Das flicks it ever so well in front of square leg for a couple of runs.
0.2 : J Khan to L Das, Fraction straight in line, on a good length, Das defends it back down the track rather comfortably.
0.3 : J Khan to L Das, Close! After bringing the first two back in, Junaid moves this away from a back of a length, Das has a tame poke at it from inside the line and gets beaten.
0.4 : J Khan to L Das, Good length ball on middle and off, holding its line, blocked from inside the crease.
0.5 : J Khan to L Das, Opens the face of the bat to this one angling away and steers it past point to get to the other end.
0.6 : J Khan to S Sarkar, Good start for Pakistan. Just 3 off the first over. Junaid angles in a length delivery from around off, Sarkar firmly blocks it back down the track.
Shaheen Afridi to bowl from the other end with the second new ball.
1.1 : S Afridi to L Das, Slightly fullish and shaping away from around off, Liton Das just checks this shot as he chips it safely towards covers.
1.2 : S Afridi to L Das, Much better this time. Is more confident as he drives the full ball to mid off.
1.3 : S Afridi to L Das, Short of a length delivery going away with the natural angle, Liton withdraws his bat and has nothing to do with it.
1.4 : S Afridi to L Das, Just ahead of a length, on the off stump, Das leans forward and across before wristing it towards mid on.
1.5 : S Afridi to L Das, Wide yorker outside off, the right-hander gets low in an attempt to squeeze it out but fails to make connection.
1.6 : S Afridi to L Das, Quite straight in line, tucked in front of square leg to end the over. A maiden to start with for Shaheen.
2.1 : J Khan to S Sarkar, Full length delivery angling in on leg, Sarkar tries flicking it away but it goes off the pads. It rolls on the leg side and the batsmen take a leg bye.
2.2 : J Khan to L Das, Back of a length outside off, placed wide of point for an easy run.
2.3 : J Khan to S Sarkar, Pitched fuller than a good length and outside off, Sarkar comes forward and plays a mistimed drive back in the bowler's direction.
2.4 : J Khan to S Sarkar, Outside off on a good length, played to point. Straight to the fielder.
2.5 : J Khan to S Sarkar, OUT! GONE! That's the first wicket down for Bangladesh. Junaid Khan strikes on his return to the XI, good start for him, not so much for Soumya Sarkar who's gone for a duck on his comeback into the side. Short ball around off, rising on the batsman too quickly and the pace probably gets him too. He take on the pull shot and gets a top edge. It balloons towards mid-wicket where Fakhar Zaman comes in a few paces and takes a simple catch.
Mominul Haque walks in at no.3.
2.6 : J Khan to M Haque, Good length delivery in the channel outside off, Haque makes a watchful leave. End of a successful over from Junaid Khan.
3.1 : S Afridi to L Das, Plays this very late. Waits for the ball to come and then opens the face at the last minute to run it down towards third man for a single.
3.2 : S Afridi to M Haque, Mominul is off the mark. Shaping in on middle and off, worked away from the inner half in front of square leg for a single.
3.3 : S Afridi to L Das, Full ball straying on the pads, flicked through backward square leg for one more.
3.4 : S Afridi to M Haque, FOUR! First boundary of the day! Super shot from Mominul Haque. Too full and quite straight from Shaheen Afridi, easy enough for the left-hander to lean ahead nicely and flick the half-volley through the mid-wicket region for a boundary.
3.5 : S Afridi to M Haque, OUT! That's what you call a response! Terrific stuff from the left-arm pacer. Got hit for a boundary of the previous delivery and responds by knocking his stumps over. Bowls it a touch fuller than a length and brings it in, it's at a decent pace but the movement does him in. It goes past the inside edge of Haque's bat, raps him on the pads and deflects onto the off stump behind, uprooting it. Bangladesh rocked early yet again.
Mushfiqur Rahim is the next batsman in.
3.6 : S Afridi to M Rahim, Banged in short and it's quite accurate too, Rahim leaves it alone.
4.1 : J Khan to L Das, Comes from around the wicket to Das and angles in a length delivery on off, it's blocked down the track by getting behind the line.
4.2 : J Khan to L Das, OUT! Wow. That's beautiful bowling. Superb stuff. The change in angle does the trick. What a ball. Junaid angles it in but then gets it to straighten up significantly. Das plays down the wrong line and that becomes his undoing. The ball whizzes past the off stump and much like with Mominul, his off stick goes flying behind. Superb delivery. This is the kind of spark Pakistan were seemingly lacking in the previous games.
Mohammad Mithun to bat next. He walks in with his side in trouble.
4.3 : J Khan to M Mithun, Full in length outside off, driven to covers by Mithun but straight to the fielder.
4.4 : J Khan to M Mithun, Keeps it tight, cutting in on middle and off, worked down on the leg side with soft hands.
4.5 : J Khan to M Mithun, Length delivery on middle and off, blocked back down the track.
4.6 : J Khan to M Mithun, Sharp bumper. Takes Mithun by surprise but the batsman just about manages to avoid it.
5.1 : S Afridi to M Rahim, A hint of inward movement as it lands on middle and off, Rahim defends it down on the off side from within the crease.
5.2 : S Afridi to M Rahim, Edged and away! Rahim is a lucky man. Short ball rising off the surface, Rahim is in no control as he raises his bat to block and it takes the edge. Flies past first slip and runs down to third man. Single taken but that was close.
5.3 : S Afridi to M Mithun, Extremely full as it's fired outside off, drilled down the ground but straight to mid off.
5.4 : S Afridi to M Mithun, Outside off, not threatening the batsman in anyway, Mithun lets it be.
5.5 : S Afridi to M Mithun, Whoa! How close was that? Dangerously. Serves it on off and it moves away as late as it possibly could have, Mithun tries to put bat on ball but the away movement just about takes the outside edge.
5.6 : S Afridi to M Mithun, Mithun hangs back inside the crease and offers a firm punch into the off side. Dot ball.
6.1 : J Khan to M Rahim, Fullish in length, keeps it around that off stump channel, Rahim meets it with the full face of the bat.
6.2 : J Khan to M Rahim, Continues from around the wicket, angles it in on off, Mushfiqur blocks it from the inner portion on the leg side.
6.3 : J Khan to M Rahim, Takes a nice big stride forward to this full ball and drives it to the man positioned at mid on.
6.4 : J Khan to M Rahim, Length delivery close to off, seaming in, Mushi watches the ball closely and once again blocks it out.
6.5 : J Khan to M Rahim, Wide! Banged in short, takes Mushfiqur by surprise too but unfortunately for Khan it's too short. The umpire raises his arms sideways and signals a wide.
J Khan to M Rahim, Takes the pull on this time and helps it along the carpet to deep backward square leg. Single to the total.
6.6 : J Khan to M Mithun, Marginally ahead of a length on off, guarded out safely by shifting his weight onto the front foot.
7.1 : S Afridi to M Rahim, Sweet connection off the meat but hit straight to the fielder. Rahim leans ahead and drives the full ball to cover.
7.2 : S Afridi to M Rahim, On a driving length, outside off, pushed away in front of covers.
7.3 : S Afridi to M Rahim, Too far of off, left alone for the keeper to collect.
7.4 : S Afridi to M Rahim, Short of a good length kept tight around the off stump line, Rahim blocks with a steady head.
7.5 : S Afridi to M Rahim, FOUR! Up and over! That shot will relieve a lot of pressure. Short ball outside off, width offered and Rahim latches onto it. Frees his arms and lofts it over backward point for a boundary.
7.6 : S Afridi to M Rahim, Keeps it tight again. A length ball on off, tapped back down the track. Rahim wants the single but his partner doesn't, so is sent back. 7 runs in the last 4 overs. Pakistan still very much on top for the moment.
Hasan Ali into the attack now.
8.1 : H Ali to M Mithun, Full length delivery outside off, Mithun gets off the mark with a square drive through point and takes a single.
8.2 : H Ali to M Rahim, The batsman has punched that ball through the off side.
8.3 : H Ali to M Rahim, FOUR! Shot. Too full and well outside off, Rahim has no problems putting it away. Drives it sweetly through the gap in the covers and finds the fence with ease.
8.4 : H Ali to M Rahim, Beaten! This one doesn't rise as much as it's pitched on a length outside off, Mushfiqur tries to run it down to third man but fails to do so.
8.5 : H Ali to M Rahim, Width offered again, too full outside off, Rahim carves it over backward point. Shoaib Malik from third man moves across to his right and makes a tumbling stop. Two runs collected.
8.6 : H Ali to M Rahim, Plants his front foot forward and drives the fuller length ball to covers.
Second change made as Mohammad Nawaz is into the bowling attack as well.
The DRS is taken by Pakistan. It's for an lbw call and Mohammad Mithun is the man in question. Looks to be going down to the naked eye. Might be a poor call. Let's see...
9.1 : M Nawaz to M Mithun, Safe! As expected, it's clearly going down leg. Poor call from the skipper Safraz to even discuss the review, let alone take it. Sliding in on leg and it keeps going down with the angle, Mithun looks to put bat on ball but doesn't make connection and is hit on the pads. An appeal follows but the umpire doesn't bother. Sarfraz speaks with Nawaz and after some thinking, the 'T' is signalled. Strange. Replays roll in and show the ball is missing the leg stump by a big marg
9.2 : M Nawaz to M Mithun, Stays right behind the line and blocks it out.
9.3 : M Nawaz to M Mithun, Makes use of the feet and works it away on the leg side.
9.4 : M Nawaz to M Mithun, Full and straight from the spinner, pushed back down the track.
9.5 : M Nawaz to M Mithun, The batsman flicks it away with a wristy shot. They pick up a single.
9.6 : M Nawaz to M Rahim, Drifting in on middle and off, Mushfiqur is well forward in defense.
Time for Powerplay 2! Now 4 fielders can be placed outside the ring till the 40th over.
10.1 : H Ali to M Mithun, Good length around off, Mithun plays it nicely as he guides it at the very last moment through short third man for a single.
10.2 : H Ali to M Rahim, Very full outside off, Rahim drives it crisply through covers for a run. Hasan is bowling a little too full and also offering width. He needs to be a little more straighter.
10.3 : H Ali to M Mithun, The length was better this time but again, width is on offer outside off. Mithun plays it down to third man for a run.
10.4 : H Ali to M Rahim, Too easy! Once again it is bowled outside off, Rahim opens the face of his bat and guides it down to third man for a single.
10.5 : H Ali to M Mithun, EDGED AND FOUR! Not good captaincy this, there should be a slip in place, especially with the opposition in trouble. Hasan bowls it around off, it swings away a touch. Mithun goes for the booming drive but gets an outside edge through the vacant slip cordon for a boundary.
10.6 : H Ali to M Mithun, Fuller and straighter in line this time, the batsman works it to mid-wicket. A good over for Bangladesh comes to an end. 8 from it, best of the innings so far.
11.1 : M Nawaz to M Rahim, Fires this on the pads, Rahim tries to flick but misses to get hit on the pads. The ball rolls towards short fine leg.
11.2 : M Nawaz to M Rahim, Rahim with the angle works it to mid-wicket.
11.3 : M Nawaz to M Rahim, Almost! Nicely bowled! Slows this up and gives it a lot of air. Lands it on the stumps, Rahim goes for the sweep but is a touch early into the stroke. He gets a bottom edge towards short fine leg for a run.
11.4 : M Nawaz to M Mithun, Another tossed up delivery on off, Mithun pushes it through mid off for a run. Nawaz is not getting a lot of purchase out there.
11.5 : M Nawaz to M Rahim, Stump-to-stump line now, Rahim taps it towards point. He wants a run but is sent back rightly.
11.6 : M Nawaz to M Rahim, Shuffles across and works it with the angle through mid-wicket to end the over with a run. Another tight over by Nawaz, this is exactly what you can expect of him, he will keep it nice and tight.
12.1 : H Ali to M Rahim, Hits the length hard around off, Rahim blocks it out.
12.2 : H Ali to M Rahim, Hasan is trying to get the ball to tail back in from outside off, no swing on offer though as it is pushed through covers for a run.
12.3 : H Ali to M Mithun, A little too wide outside off, Mithun opens the face of his bat and plays it towards third man and gets to the other end.
12.4 : H Ali to M Rahim, Better! On the stumps, Rahim pushes it back past the bowler. He takes a start, the non-striker responds. But just in time Rahim asks him to return. The fielder at mid on does has a shy but misses. Even though had he hit, Mithun would have made it back.
12.5 : H Ali to M Rahim, Attacks the off pole again, Rahim drives it to mid off.
12.6 : H Ali to M Rahim, Good three balls to end the over! On the stumps again, Rahim works it to mid-wicket. Hasan is better off bowling this line and length.
13.1 : M Nawaz to M Mithun, Gets good drift on this one, it tails back in and it is fuller in length. The batsman prods forward and strokes it down to long off for a run.
13.2 : M Nawaz to M Rahim, FOUR! Premeditated and it comes off really well! Even before the ball was delivered, Rahim walks across. Nawaz fires it on the stumps, Rahim goes down on one knee and sweeps it over backward square leg for a boundary.
13.3 : M Nawaz to M Rahim, Uses his feet but comes down a touch early, Nawaz shortens his length and Rahim defends it.
13.4 : M Nawaz to M Rahim, Brings out the sweep shot again but this time does not connect that well. The ball though goes into the gap at the mid-wicket region and a couple taken.
13.5 : M Nawaz to M Rahim, Darts this on the pads, Rahim goes back and tries to flick but misses to get hit on the pads. There is a stifled appeal but nothing from the umpire.
13.6 : M Nawaz to M Rahim, On the shorter side again, Rahim slaps it through covers and retains strike.
Hmmmm... two sweeps by Mushy in that over. Not quite happy, is Dean Jones on air. He observes that strangely, batsmen sweep a lot in Dubai but not here. Rahim has tried to do that a bit so far with some success. The longer he bats, the more brooms shall we see, I daresay.
Shoaib Malik is into the attack. A strange bowling change to be honest, with two right-handers out there, not something you see often.
14.1 : S Malik to M Rahim, With the turn, Rahim nudges it towards mid-wicket and gets to the other end.
14.2 : S Malik to M Mithun, Loopy ball this time on the pads, Mithun flicks it towards mid-wicket. The fielder there makes a good diving stop, saving a run for his side.
14.3 : S Malik to M Mithun, Another tossed up delivery, MM flicks it through mid-wicket, this time away from the fielder and takes a run. The 50 is up for Bangladesh, they have lost three wickets but the two out there are now going well.
14.4 : S Malik to M Rahim, Played through mid-wicket by the batsman.
14.5 : S Malik to M Rahim, Plays it with soft hands towards mid-wicket for a run.
14.6 : S Malik to M Mithun, FOUR! Slapped! An excellent way to end the over! This was short and it was asking to be hit. Mithun does exactly that as he hits it hard through covers and the ball races away. 43 is now the partnership between the two.
DRINKS! So Pakistan on top after the first 15 overs. They managed to take three early wickets but since then, Rahim and Mithun have done well to steady the ship. The two are playing sensibly and Bangladesh would want them to continue.
Shadab Khan is into the attack.
15.1 : S Khan to M Rahim, The googly to start with, Rahim lunges and blocks.
15.2 : S Khan to M Rahim, FOUR! Cracked! Rahim is playing those sweep shots to great effect. He again gets into position quickly and sweeps it with a lot of power. The ball gets to the mid-wicket fence in a jiffy.
15.3 : S Khan to M Rahim, Loopy ball around off, it pitches and turns away. The ball takes the outside edge towards short third man.
15.4 : S Khan to M Rahim, The short of a length delivery has been cut away through square on the off side.
15.5 : S Khan to M Rahim, FOUR! Clever, very clever. Brings up the 50-run stand with a cheeky shot. Again, the key here is, he gets into the position early and reverse sweeps it very fine on the off side and the ball races away. Not letting Shadab settle here is Rahim and rightly so. Also, a timely stand this, they were in big trouble when the two joined association and now slowly the duo is taking Bangladesh out of trouble.
15.6 : S Khan to M Rahim, The googly now, Rahim does not pick it as he tries to defend. The ball takes the inside edge and goes to square leg. An expensive start for Shadab.
16.1 : S Malik to M Mithun, Flicks this through mid-wicket for a run. Mithun is also doing really well, he is ticking the strike along really well.
16.2 : S Malik to M Rahim, Floats it up on the pads, Rahim flicks it to mid-wicket.
16.3 : S Malik to M Rahim, Lovely placement! Rahim with soft hands, works it through mid-wicket. The shot is placed so nicely that the batsmen run two easily.
16.4 : S Malik to M Rahim, This is too easy, the leg stump line again by Malik. Rahim nudges it through mid-wicket for a run.
16.5 : S Malik to M Mithun, Smart batting! Mithun knows Malik will keep bowling the leg stump line so he paddles him very fine and bags another brace.
16.6 : S Malik to M Mithun, A single to end as MM clips it through square leg. So 7 from this one and 8 off the last. Runs have started to come here for Bangladesh.
17.1 : S Khan to M Mithun, Loopy ball on middle, Mithun goes for the drive but gets it off the inner half towards mid on for a run.
17.2 : S Khan to M Rahim, The googly on off, Rahim prods forward and blocks it out.
17.3 : S Khan to M Rahim, A full toss, dipping on the batsman. Rahim pushes it down to long on for a run.
17.4 : S Khan to M Mithun, Full marks to the bowler there but runs to the batsman! Still not sure why there ain't a slip in! Shadab bowls the leg spinner outside off, Mithun tries to defend but gets an outside edge through short third man for a brace.
17.5 : S Khan to M Mithun, The quicker one on the shorter side. Mithun off the back foot, punches it back to the bowler.
17.6 : S Khan to M Mithun, Gives this one a lot of air and bowls it very full. The spin is out of contention and Mithun strokes it to covers. A better second over by Shadab.
Mohammad Nawaz is back on.
18.1 : M Nawaz to M Rahim, Attacks the stumps, Rahim pushes it back to the bowler.
18.2 : M Nawaz to M Rahim, Uses his feet and works it through square leg for a single.
18.3 : M Nawaz to M Mithun, Good running! Nawaz fires it outside off, Mithun strokes it through cover-point. He runs the first one hard and calls for the second as it is the longer side of the ground. Completes it with ease.
18.4 : M Nawaz to M Mithun, The batsman shows the full face of the bat and defends the ball off the back foot.
18.5 : M Nawaz to M Mithun, The arm ball on middle, kept out.
18.6 : M Nawaz to M Mithun, Strokes it agains the angle through the off side for a run.
19.1 : S Khan to M Mithun, Too full again, the batsman eases it back to the bowler who misfields and concedes a run.
19.2 : S Khan to M Rahim, Floats it up on off, Rahim blocks it out.
19.3 : S Khan to M Rahim, Another flighted delivery outside off, Rahim drives it through covers for a run.
19.4 : S Khan to M Mithun, Another googly but once again it is a little too full, Mithun strokes it to covers.
19.5 : S Khan to M Mithun, Floated outside off, Mithun hits it square on the off side for another single. Rotating strike with ease at the moment are the two.
19.6 : S Khan to M Rahim, And now, Rahim cuts this very short ball through point and bags a brace. Good fielding the deep by Afridi as he makes a sliding stop.
20.1 : M Nawaz to M Mithun, An lbw appeal! Going down leg perhaps. Though this is a much closer call, the review might have been better utilized on this occasion. Nawaz darts it on leg and it straightens up a touch. Mithun gets low to sweep but is rapped on the front pad.
20.2 : M Nawaz to M Mithun, Works this down just wide of short mid-wicket and both batsmen take off. Good running as they beat the throw at the striker's end.
20.3 : M Nawaz to M Rahim, On the leg stump line, Rahim attempts to work it fine. Does so but off the pad. A couple of leg byes result.
20.4 : M Nawaz to M Rahim, Floats it up on leg, Rahim works it off his pads on the leg side and gets to the other end.
20.5 : M Nawaz to M Mithun, Defended off the front foot by the batsman presenting the full face of the bat.
20.6 : M Nawaz to M Mithun, A nice, clean drive to long off earns the batsman a comfortable single.
21.1 : S Khan to M Mithun, Tossed up outside off, pushed away on the off side for no run.
21.2 : S Khan to M Mithun, Leading edge but it's wide! Loopy leg break outside off, Mithun closes the face early to flick and so the ball takes the leading edge past the diving extra cover fielder for a single.
21.3 : S Khan to M Rahim, Quicker one around off, stays back and keeps it out safely.
21.4 : S Khan to M Rahim, Goes deep inside the crease and wrists it away towards square leg for one.
21.5 : S Khan to M Mithun, Goes with the spin and pushes it away to the man at cover.
21.6 : S Khan to M Mithun, Quick and flat just outside off, punched off the back foot on the off side to end the over.
22.1 : M Nawaz to M Rahim, Top edge and it's fallen safely! Mushfiqur gets low to bring out the slog sweep. Gets a top edge as he goes against the spin and luckily for him, it falls between the two mid-wicket fielders - one inside the ring and one in the deep. A single results.
22.2 : M Nawaz to M Mithun, Spinning away from around off, pushed square on the off side.
22.3 : M Nawaz to M Mithun, Another mishit and it's landed safely again. Mithun gives the charge and looks to go big downtown. Gets it off the outer half and over point for one.
22.4 : M Nawaz to M Rahim, Driven down the ground to long on for one more.
22.5 : M Nawaz to M Mithun, Stays on the back foot to this short ball and pulls it through square leg for a run.
22.6 : M Nawaz to M Rahim, Pushed to the cover region by the batsman. They pick up a single.
23.1 : S Khan to M Rahim, A bit too full as Shadab tosses it up, wristed down to wide long on. Single to the total.

23.5 : S Khan to M Mithun, Room offered outside off, Mithun hangs on the back foot and flays it to deep point. Crosses over to change ends.
23.6 : S Khan to M Rahim, Rahim prods forward and blocks it out with the full face of the bat.
24.1 : M Nawaz to M Mithun, Loopy delivery outside off, Mithun gets low to play the reverse paddle. It goes off the back part of the bat and lobs over the keeper's head who looks away to save his face from hurt. Two runs taken.
24.2 : M Nawaz to M Mithun, Some decent air on this as it lands outside off, blocked away.
24.3 : M Nawaz to M Mithun, Some awkward bounce for the fielder. Mithun drives it to cover where the bounce lets the ball go through the fielder. Another brace collected.
24.4 : M Nawaz to M Mithun, Smacked through the mid-wicket region this time. Big gap out there, so two more taken.
24.5 : M Nawaz to M Mithun, Turns it away against the spin, but finds the mid-wicket fielder on this occasion.
24.6 : M Nawaz to M Mithun, Gives the charge with the use of the feet and places it through the covers for two more. 8 off the over with no boundary scored.
25.1 : S Khan to M Rahim, 30th ODI fifty for Mushfiqur Rahim! Another superb knock when his team was in deep trouble. Always stands up and is counted. Terrific player. Gets to the milestone by easing it down to long on and changing ends.
25.2 : S Khan to M Mithun, Too full outside off, drilled through to sweeper cover for a run.
25.3 : S Khan to M Rahim, Short and flat on the stumps, pulled through the mid-wicket region. The fielder in the deep, Asif Ali, covers good ground to his left and cuts it off, keeping the batsmen to two runs.
25.4 : S Khan to M Rahim, The 100-run partnership comes up too. These two have done extremely well to take things under control. Full outside off, Rahim carves it off the outer half through point and a brace is collected.
Run out appeal referred. Mushfiqur Rahim the man in the limelight. He looks safe though.
25.5 : S Khan to M Rahim, Not out! Short and flat outside off, Rahim cuts it square through point and comes back for the second. The throw comes in at the keeper's end and he takes the bails off as Rahim slides his bat in. It's taken upstairs and it shows the batsman has made it in quite comfortably.
Rahim is seen getting some treatment from the physio. Seems like a cramp in his hammy. The Pakistan players use this opportunity to get some fluids in.
25.6 : S Khan to M Rahim, Darts it in fuller, in line of the stumps, Mushfiqur takes a step out of the crease and wrists it down towards wide long on. Keeps going on and completes the run.
Hasan Ali returns to the attack.
26.1 : H Ali to M Rahim, FOUR! Sort of deliberate. Short of a length outside off, Rahim tries to guide it down, does so but it's too fine. Off the edge and across the third man fence for a boundary.
26.2 : H Ali to M Rahim, Slightly full, outside the line of off stump, patted through the covers for one run.
26.3 : H Ali to M Mithun, Brings out the short one out of nowhere but Mithun is ready for it. Keeps his eyes on the ball and ducks in time to evade it.

26.5 : H Ali to M Rahim, Length delivery on off, pushed square right at the man at point.
26.6 : H Ali to M Rahim, The batsman has flicked the ball off his pads. No run taken.
Finally Junaid Khan is back. He was phenomenal in his first spell. Will he be the one to break this partnership?
27.1 : J Khan to M Mithun, Starts from around the wicket and angles in a shortish ball on the body, Mithun moves inside the line and helps the pull square on the leg side for a single.
27.2 : J Khan to M Rahim, Shortish and angling in, Rahim moves a step across to work it on the leg side but it goes off his thigh pad and past the keeper, through his left. A couple of leg byes are taken.
27.3 : J Khan to M Rahim, Length ball on middle and off, it goes off the inside edge as Rahim puts bat on ball. Away on the leg side and that's a single.
27.4 : J Khan to M Mithun, Pounds it in hard, the bouncer, no shot offered by the batsman.
27.5 : J Khan to M Mithun, Good length delivery coming in, defended with a straight blade in response.
27.6 : J Khan to M Mithun, Another length ball and another defensive shot presented. End of the over.
28.1 : H Ali to M Rahim, Back of a length on off, keeps it tight and that's how he should continue, because it's forced Rahim to block it to point. Dot ball.
0.0 : With the whole world having a go at Sarfraz' captaincy, VVS Laxman on air has a soft corner for him. He reminds us all that cricket is a team game - not just dependent on one person. 'What is Shoaib Malik doing? What is Babar Azam doing?' He stresses further that a good team has excellent core players. The seniors need to come in with their thoughts and help their skipper with ideas and suggestions. Meanwhile, Sarfraz is not too happy with Rahim constantly taking breaks. He is getting visibly ir
28.2 : H Ali to M Rahim, Top edge and FOUR! Hasan Ali has been a bit unlucky through this innings so far. Banged short and Rahim gives the charge. Takes the pull on and it goes off the top edge over Sarfraz's head for a boundary.
28.3 : H Ali to M Rahim, In control of this one. Pulled away through square leg for a single.
28.4 : H Ali to M Mithun, FOUR! 2nd ODI fifty for Mohammad Mithun! Brings it up in style too. Short ball, he rises, gets on top of the ball and pulls it with aplomb through the mid-wicket area, beating the man in the deep. Superb stuff. He'll want to carry on and score a big one.
28.5 : H Ali to M Mithun, Tap and run stuff from Mithun. Drops it down on the off side with soft hands and calls for it. His partner responds and both complete the run with ease.
28.6 : H Ali to M Rahim, Patted away from within the crease, but it's too close to the fielder.
Sarfraz is once again seen having a word with the umpires. He has a problem with Rahim taking constant breaks. Probably has a point too, as Mushfiqur has been doing it after every over for the past 4-5 overs.
29.1 : J Khan to M Mithun, Short ball angling in on middle and leg, Mithun is hurried onto the pull and as a result, gets a top edge. It flies to fine leg and lands safely. Two to the total.
29.2 : J Khan to M Mithun, Uses the angle into him by working it to mid-wicket. Moved inside the line and closed the face to play at that.
29.3 : J Khan to M Mithun, Ahead of a length, on the stumps, Mithun is half-forward as he defends it.
29.4 : J Khan to M Mithun, Stays inside the crease, comes maybe half-forward and defends it again, this time in front of covers.
29.5 : J Khan to M Mithun, Shaping in at first and then straightening up off the surface, played back to the bowler. Junaid collects the ball and gives the batsman a big stare, Mithun responds in kind. No backing down from him.
29.6 : J Khan to M Mithun, Angling in on leg, worked behind square on the leg side defensively. Tensions are rising, much like the temperature, in the middle. There's an exchange of words between Junaid and Mithun. Nothing seems too serious though, not yet anyway.
Shaheen Afridi back on to bowl as well.
30.1 : S Afridi to M Rahim, Starts off with a rib-tickler, Rahim pulls it off the gloves down towards fine leg for a run.
30.2 : S Afridi to M Mithun, On the pads again, Mithun misses the flick, the ball brushes the pads, rolls towards the leg side and the batsmen run a leg bye.
30.3 : S Afridi to M Rahim, Fuller again on middle, Rahim against the angle works it towards wide mid on and takes a run.
30.4 : S Afridi to M Mithun, Nicely pulled! Mithun has played well off the back foot. He stands tall, swivels and pulls it all along the ground towards deep square leg for a run.
30.5 : S Afridi to M Rahim, Another bumper on middle, this time it does not rise. Rahim hits it towards fine leg for a run.
30.6 : S Afridi to M Mithun, A huge appeal but not given! Would have been an unfortunate dismissal had that been given. This is down the leg side, like the last 5 balls. Mithun goes for the flick but he seems to have missed it. The ball brushes the pads and goes into the mitts of the keeper. The players appeal but the umpire stays put.
DRINKS! Bangladesh are motoring along quite well at the moment. They have two set batsmen out there and the run rate is also fine. Pakistan on the other hand, need wickets or they will be staring down a big target here. Also, the skipper seems to be losing his cool. He is getting frustrated with almost every run being scored and that is definitely not helping his bowlers. Needs to keep his cool. Bangladesh are playing well but you never know. Rahim is getting tired as well. They might lose a wic
31.1 : J Khan to M Rahim, Works it with the angle through square leg for a run.
31.2 : J Khan to M Rahim, Another ball on the pads, Rahim works it down to fine leg for a run.
31.3 : J Khan to M Mithun, The batsman has played that off the front foot and into the ground.
31.4 : J Khan to M Mithun, Good length on off, the batsman is solid in defense.
31.5 : J Khan to M Mithun, Another bouncer, Mithun ducks under it.
31.6 : J Khan to M Mithun, FOUR! Stand and deliver! Excellent shot! It is slightly short on off, Mithun picks the length early and pulls it over wide mid on. No one in the deep and the ball crosses the fence. Spoils a very good over.
32.1 : S Afridi to M Rahim, On the shorter side, this one hurries onto the batter. Rahim goes for the pull but the ball hits him on the glove and goes towards mid-wicket for a run.
32.2 : S Afridi to M Mithun, Back of a length on off, Mithun guides it down to third man and the batsmen take a run. 150 is up and they now have a good platform set for the batters left.
32.3 : S Afridi to M Rahim, Very full but on the pads, Rahim flicks it through mid-wicket. He runs one, goes for the second. The throw is fired to the keeper who collects it and appeals but the batsman has made it in with ease. Lovely running that.
32.4 : S Afridi to M Rahim, Around off, the batsman defends it onto the ground.
32.5 : S Afridi to M Rahim, In the air... but safe! The slower bumper on middle, Rahim goes for the pull but mistimes it. It is in the air for a while but lands well short of mid-wicket.
GOING BACK HOME!!! Well, well, well - reports are filtering in that Shakib al Hasan is returning to Dhaka. So, if Bangladesh make it to the final, they will miss him on Friday too. That finger injury is costing him and his team big time.
32.6 : S Afridi to M Rahim, Hits the back of a length area around off, Rahim guides it to point.
Hasan Ali is back on.
33.1 : H Ali to M Mithun, Slightly shorter in length on off, the batsman drops it towards cover for a run.
33.2 : H Ali to M Rahim, Up and over! Not a boundary but three runs. A little too full by Hasan. Rahim flicks it over mid on. The ball slows after landing near the fence. The fielder from that position runs back and the batsmen run three.
33.3 : H Ali to M Mithun, The batsman has pushed it to the cover region.
33.4 : H Ali to M Mithun, OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! Hasan Ali has broken the 144-run stand. Relief for Pakistan, they needed this wicket and this should probably lift their body language a little now. Ali bowls it on the stumps, Mithun goes for the pull across the line and that brings about his downfall. The ball takes the top edge and goes high up in the air. Hasan calls for it and takes it. He is ecstatic, the whole of the Pakistan team is. Nevertheless, Mithun walks back after playing a very goo
Imrul Kayes is the new man in. He played an excellent innings in the last game. Something of the same is what Bangladesh would hope.
33.5 : H Ali to I Kayes, BEATEN! Almost another one! Not sure if it was a smart shot to play first up. Full and wide outside off, the sucker ball. Kayes goes after it but gets beaten.
33.6 : H Ali to I Kayes, Off the mark with a single. He flicks this ball towards wide mid on and takes a run.
34.1 : S Afridi to I Kayes, Loose shot again! 2 out of the 3 balls he has faced have been poor shots. This is slightly short outside off, Kayes goes for the cut short with no foot movement but gets beaten.
34.2 : S Afridi to I Kayes, Back of a length on off, Kayes pushes it to covers.
34.3 : S Afridi to I Kayes, The batsman defends it from within the crease.
34.4 : S Afridi to I Kayes, FOUR! Just over! Kayes has come out with intent here! You give him room, he will go after it. This was on a length outside off, Kayes goes after it. Hits it uppishly but over the cover fielder for a boundary.
34.5 : S Afridi to I Kayes, Now shuffles across and works it through mid-wicket for a run.
34.6 : S Afridi to M Rahim, Rahim guides it down to third man and gets to the other end.
35.1 : H Ali to M Rahim, Around off, kept out.
35.2 : H Ali to M Rahim, Played to the point region by the batsman.
35.3 : H Ali to M Rahim, The indipper on middle, Rahim with the swing, works it to mid-wicket and gets to the other end. He needs to stay there till the end if Bangladesh are to get to a very good total.
35.4 : H Ali to I Kayes, Another miscue but runs on offer! Kayes lofts this full ball over covers, not off the middle but hit well enough to get a brace.
35.5 : H Ali to I Kayes, A full toss on the pads, the batsman flicks it through square leg for a run.
35.6 : H Ali to M Rahim, Back of a length on off, Rahim stands tall and defends it to point.
Shadab Khan is brought back.
36.1 : S Khan to I Kayes, OUT! A huge appeal and it has been given! The bowling change has worked wonders as Shadab Khan has struck on the very first ball of his new spell. Two wickets in quick succession here and Bangladesh have half their side back in the hut. It is the leg spinner from the leggie around off, it pitches and turns back in a touch. Kayes tries to work it with the turn but misses. The ball hits him on the back pad. The players appeal and the umpire agrees. Kayes walks upto Rahim
0.0 : Mahmudullah is the new man in.

Mohammad Nawaz is back on. Spin from both ends now.
37.1 : M Nawaz to M Rahim, FOUR! Welcome back into the attack. It is a poor ball to start with, short and it sits up to be hit. Rahim goes back quickly and pulls it over mid-wicket and the ball races away. He now is 15 short of a ton.
37.2 : M Nawaz to M Rahim, Flatter this time on middle, Rahim works it with the angle through mid-wicket for a run. Boundary from the first ball, now they can look for singles.
37.3 : M Nawaz to Mahmudullah, Mahmudullah does the smart thing by nudging it around the corner for a run.
37.4 : M Nawaz to M Rahim, Slower through the air on middle, MR flicks it towards backward square leg and moves to a total which is considered unlucky by the Aussies. The fielder there does have a shy at the non-striker's end but misses. There is a chance of an overthrow, but the batsmen do not take it.
37.5 : M Nawaz to Mahmudullah, Slower through the air outside off, it drifts in. Mahmudullah goes for the cut but chops it to the keeper. That was too close for that shot to be played.
37.6 : M Nawaz to Mahmudullah, Two dots to end as Mahmudullah guides it to the man at point.
38.1 : S Khan to M Rahim, Shortish again on off, Rahim mistimes his cut towards cover-point.
38.2 : S Khan to M Rahim, In the air... but lands in no man's land! A full toss on middle, Rahim goes for the slog sweep but the ball takes the top edge. Due to the big grounds here, difficult for a mistimed shot to carry to the fielder in the deep. It lands well short of the long on fielder and the batsmen take two.
38.3 : S Khan to M Rahim, Eases it down to long on and takes a run.
38.4 : S Khan to Mahmudullah, On off, Mahmudullah guides it to point.
38.5 : S Khan to Mahmudullah, Another shortish ball outside off, it is cut through point for a run.

Shaheen Afridi is back.
39.1 : S Afridi to M Rahim, Fullish on the pads, Rahim flicks it through backward square leg. He completes one, goes for the second. The fielder throws it to the keeper who catches it and whips the bails off but the batsman is well in. Sarfraz is not happy with the throw, he wanted it a little more flat.
39.2 : S Afridi to M Rahim, The batsman has pushed it to the cover region. One run added to the total.
39.3 : S Afridi to Mahmudullah, Back of a length on off, it has been guided to point.

40.5 : S Khan to Mahmudullah, The googly on off, it spins in, Mahmudullah backs away and offers a solid punch on the off side.
40.6 : S Khan to Mahmudullah, Another top edge and it's gone away safely! Loopy leg break outside off, Mahmudullah kneels down to sweep and it goes off the top edge over the keeper. It races to the fence where Asif Ali chases it down and pulls it back inside the rope. Afridi picks it up then and throws it back in. Three runs taken.
41.1 : S Afridi to Mahmudullah, The batsman has flicked the ball off his pads. The batsmen have run through for a single.
41.2 : S Afridi to M Rahim, FOUR! Moves to 99 with that! Streaky runs, but he'll take it all the same. Length ball outside off, Rahim hangs his bat out and it goes through the vacant slip cordon. Sarfraz dives to his right but can't reach it. Boundary results.
41.3 : S Afridi to M Rahim, Full on off driven back to the bowler.
41.4 : S Afridi to M Rahim, OUT! Rahim misses out on a magnificent hundred. Heartbreak for the little man, he fully deserved it. Full and just outside off, it shapes away ever so late, ever so little. But, it's enough to do Rahim in. He comes forward to drive it through the covers but gets a feather behind. Sarfraz takes a regulation catch and dismisses his opposite number. A good knock though from Mushfiqur, has done a wonderful job for his side yet again, even if he would be feeling disappointe
Mehidy Hasan is the new man in.
41.5 : S Afridi to M Hasan, Off the mark. Mehidy works it through mid-wicket for a single.
41.6 : S Afridi to Mahmudullah, FOUR! That's crunched! A lot of power on that from Mahmudullah. Full and angling in on off from around the wicket, the batsman stays leg side, goes inside out and hammers it through the covers. The sweeper can't get to it, it's hit that powerfully. Super shot. The 200 comes up for the Tigers.
42.1 : S Khan to M Hasan, FOUR! Short and flat outside off, Mehidy Hasan is on the back foot to cut and executes the shot well too. Places it through point and sends it across the boundary line.

42.5 : S Khan to Mahmudullah, Dropped short, and seeing this the batsman rocks back and cuts it well through point for a double.

43.1 : S Afridi to Mahmudullah, Full toss angling in on the pads from around the wicket, flicked down to fine leg for one.
43.2 : S Afridi to M Hasan, Full delivery speared outside off, Mehidy opens the bat face and squeezes it out to third man and gets to the other end.
43.3 : S Afridi to Mahmudullah, Takes the pace off this one and pitches it full. It's coming in and catches the batsman on the pads. A leg bye is taken as the ball rolls over on the leg side.
43.4 : S Afridi to M Hasan, Comfortably done. Hasan waits for this one, sees it well outside off. So, he opens the face of the blade and guides it to third man to rotate strike.
43.5 : S Afridi to Mahmudullah, Chance of a run out! Risky, but it's paid off for the batsmen. Mahmudullah punches it to Zaman at extra cover and takes off. The fielder lines it up and has a shy at the bowler's end. Misses and the batsmen complete the run without any problem.

44.6 : H Ali to M Hasan, Short of a good length outside off, Mehidy rises on his toes to punch it on the up but gets a bottom edge behind square on the off side. Steals a quick run.

45.2 : J Khan to M Hasan, OUT! Straight to the man and Mehidy departs! Junaid gets his 3rd of the evening. Continues from around the wicket and keeps it full on middle and off. Hasan flicks it towards short mid-wicket but can't keep it down. Into the hands of Shan Masood (sub) who takes an easy catch. Another timely breakthrough for Pakistan.
The skipper, Mashrafe Mortaza, is the next batsman in.
45.3 : J Khan to M Mortaza, Fuller length delivery on the fifth stump line, pushed defensively towards cover.

46.3 : H Ali to M Mortaza, Full outside off, Mashrafe strikes it through the gap in the covers and gets a couple of runs. Was placed wide enough of the sweeper for him to come back for the second.
A slight halt in play as Mortaza has called for a different pair of gloves.
46.4 : H Ali to M Mortaza, Swing and a miss! Fuller in length, slower in pacer and angling down, Mortaza makes room to go big downtown but misses as the ball goes under his bat.
46.5 : H Ali to M Mortaza, Shortish in length, pulled away into the leg side for a run.

The off cutter on off, Mortaza backs away and gives everything he has on it. Gets it right off the meat and just about clears wide long on.
48.3 : H Ali to M Mortaza, Punches this off the back foot on the off side for a single.
48.4 : H Ali to R Hossain, OUT! Run out! The overs are finishing up, so the batsmen decided to take the risk. Didn't pay off on this occasion though. Rubel pushes this to the left of the bowler and both take off. Hasan Ali collects the ball, turns and has so much time to run back that he easily gets to the stumps and takes the bails off. They cross over so Rubel is the one who departs.
Mustafizur Rahman is the last man in.
48.5 : H Ali to M Mortaza, OUT! BANGLADESH HAVE BEEN BOWLED OUT FOR 239! A good comeback in the death from Pakistan. Slower one again, Mortaza swings and miscues it as he doesn't judge it right. It skies towards Zaman at long on who settles under the ball and takes a safe catch.
Pretty even as things stands to be honest. 250 is a winning score here and Bangladesh have managed to trudge close to it at least. Pakistan started off well picking early wickets and reduced the Tigers to 12/3, but once again it was Rahim (who narrowly missed out on a ton) and Mithun (who scored a fifty) to the rescue again. Their 144-run stand brought things back in their side's favour and it looked like Bangladesh would post a big one on the board. However, wickets falling at regular intervals
Pakistan were rather lacklustre in the middle overs, especially surprising given their powerful start with the ball. Junaid Khan was the standout performer as he finished with 4/19, Shaheen Afridi and Hasan Ali picked two each and Shadab Khan bagged 1 for himself. Plenty of things were wrong, particularly the captaincy, as Sarfraz's body language seemed off and he looked frustrated throughout, which was impacting his bowlers.
Junaid Khan, who is up for an interview, starts by thanking the almighty. Admits there was pressure on him as it was a virtual semi-final but it all went well. Ends by saying he used the bouncer as a surprise delivery and it worked well for him.
Now, the game can still go either way. 240 isn't a farfetched target, but Pakistan haven't exactly been firing with the bat. Conversely, Bangladesh don't have Shakib on this turning wicket. So, all the ingredients at hand make it a potentially good run chase. Join us on the other side of the break for all the action.
