0.0 : Hello and welcome ladies and gentlemen for the coverage of Match 45 between Rajasthan and Hyderabad at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. Gone are the days when the pink team used to be invincible at home as they have clearly lost that grip after winning just the two games out of 6 played here this season. As a result, they are languishing at the bottom of the points table and are in a do-or-die situation. Hyderabad, on the other hand, are currently placed in the top 4 but are entering into thi
Toss - Up goes the coin, Kane Williamson calls it wrongly and RAJASTHAN WILL FIELD!
Rajasthan skipper, Steven Smith says that they will bowl first and reckons that it looks similar to the surface they played on against Delhi. Informs about the two changes - Liam Livingstone and Ashton Turner come in for Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes. Hopes to put on a good show for the home fans and sign off on a high.
Hyderabad skipper, Kane Williamson says this is the first time he has seen the pitch and admits even he would have chased as he feels that dew will play a factor later on. Williamson further adds that both teams are fresh and eager to get some points on the table. Informs that Saha and he himself have come in place of Jonny Bairstow and Yusuf Pathan. Laughs and says there is one more change which he cannot remember. Tells that there have been a few good team performances and reckons that this fo

Time to play the game! David Warner and Kane Williamson to open for Hyderabad. Opening partnerships have been the key to success for the visiting team and with Jonny Bairstow missing, it will be interesting to find out how it goes for them now. Varun Aaron to begin proceedings with a slip in place. Let's play...
0.1 : V Aaron to D Warner, Five runs to get things underway! A hesitant start from Warner. Aaron delivers it on a back of a length outside off, angling away, Warner decides to leave it but is late in withdrawing his bat. They cross for a hesitant single as the point fielder misses his shy at the striker's end. The fielder backing up fails to stop the ball and it speeds away to the fence.
0.2 : V Aaron to K Williamson, Excellent delivery. An inswinger. Landing on a good length around off and nips back in to ping Williamson high on the front pad. Kane got surprised due to the extra bounce and movement.
0.3 : V Aaron to K Williamson, Gets behind the line of the delivery properly this time and drives it towards mid off.
0.4 : V Aaron to K Williamson, Fractionally short in length around off, a knuckle ball at 120 kph, Williamson goes on the back foot and taps it down to covers for a run.
0.5 : V Aaron to D Warner, Lands it on a length around off, Warner plays it down with soft hands towards covers and comes charging down in search of a run. His skipper is not interested though.
0.6 : V Aaron to D Warner, Slower in pace but the line is too straight, Warner flicks it through the gap at mid-wicket and Unadkat chases it from mid on. He puts in a slide to stop the ball but misfields and the batsmen collect the third run as well. Aaron is not happy. 9 from the first over!
Oshane Thomas to bowl from the other end. A slip is in place for him.
1.1 : O Thomas to D Warner, Overthrows yet again at the start of the over! What's going on? A back of a length delivery outside off, Warner dabs it towards backward point and crosses for a brisk run. Livingstone has an unnecessary shy at the striker's end, misses the target and it travels in the deep. Two more taken, three in total.
1.2 : O Thomas to K Williamson, FOUR! Misfield this time. It's all happening very early in the game. Rajasthan will have to pull up their socks in the field. Poor delivery to start with. It's short and wide outside off, Williamson slaps it through backward point and Aaron coming across to his right from third man makes a complete mess. A boundary results and Oshane screams in disappointment.
1.3 : O Thomas to K Williamson, On a good length around off, Williamson blocks it off his back foot.
1.4 : O Thomas to K Williamson, Width on offer outside off, short in length, Williamson flat-bats it behind point and this time Aaron does the fielding safely in the deep. Only a run.
1.5 : O Thomas to D Warner, Skiddy delivery. It pitches just outside leg and beats Warner's attempted flick shot. It goes towards third man off his pads and they take a couple of leg byes. Good running between the wickets.
1.6 : O Thomas to D Warner, A bouncer this time, on middle, Warner leans back and allows it through to the keeper. 10 from this over, 19 in the first two, a good start from Hyderabad.

2.2 : V Aaron to K Williamson, A slower one, full and angling in on off, Williamson presents a straight bat as he pushes it back to the bowler. Aaron is getting his slower ones to move quite appreciably off the surface.
2.3 : V Aaron to K Williamson, Misfield at point! Back of a length delivery outside off, Kane forces it off his back foot towards Binny who gets a bad bounce and concedes two runs.
2.4 : V Aaron to K Williamson, FOUR! Brilliant from Williamson. There is a little bit of width outside off, Kane just leans into his shot and crunches it through the gap at backward point. Such a delight to watch, Williamson.
2.5 : V Aaron to K Williamson, Pushed to the cover region by the batsman. One run added to the total.
2.6 : V Aaron to D Warner, Wrong line. Drifts down the leg side and Warner flicks it through backward square leg for a single. 27 in 3 overs, runs continue to flow for Hyderabad.

3.5 : S Gopal to K Williamson, OUT! Timber! Gopal hunts down Williamson. He continues to pick prized scalps and Kane is the latest entrant. A well-disguised googly from him. It lands around off and spins back in sharply. Williamson tries to flick by going back (should have been forward) but misses. It brushes his pads and then goes on to disturb the stumps. Shreyas is up and running in celebration.
Manish Pandey is the new batsman in.
3.6 : S Gopal to M Pandey, FOUR! Pandey gets off the mark with a superb shot. He showed good form in the last match and is continuing again. Loopy and full outside off, Manish takes a stride forward and lofts it over mid off for a boundary. 5 runs and a wicket from Gopal's first over.

Strategic break! Steady going for Hyderabad after losing Williamson. Warner has adopted a cautious approach while Pandey once again is looking in sublime form. The tourists will want this pair to bat long as there isn't much promise shown by their middle order. For Rajasthan, they will have to bowl and field a lot better than they have been doing so far.

10.6 : J Unadkat to D Warner, Warner is surprised by the extra bounce on this delivery. An off cutter on off, landing and gripping before jumping onto the batsman, David somehow keeps it out on the off side and jogs across to the other end. A coupe of quiet overs bowled by Rajasthan here.

11.5 : S Binny to M Pandey, Fifty for Pandey, his 14th in the League! It has come off 27 balls. Fullish and on middle, Manish forces it back to the bowler who misfields and deflects it towards covers. They cross for a single. Another fine knock by Manish, he is just continuing from where he left off in the previous match. A welcome sight for Hyderabad.
11.6 : S Binny to D Warner, Back of a length ball around leg, Warner pulls it behind square leg and takes a single. 10 from the over, Hyderabad are 103/1!
Oshane Thomas is back into the attack.
12.1 : O Thomas to D Warner, OUT! Superman Smith has taken a stunner to dismiss his countryman! What an outstanding catch. Captain leading from the front. Thomas starts his new spell with a shorter delivery in the line of the stumps, Warner hops back to play a big shot but mistimes his shot in the air towards extra cover. Steven Smith immediately rushes across to his right from mid off and dives full length to take a one-handed ripper. Efforts like these just lift the confidence of the entire tea

Stumping appeal has been referred upstairs. Not much excitement shown by the Rajasthan players. Let's see...
14.6 : S Gopal to M Pandey, OUT! Brilliance from Sanju Samson! The crowd erupts, this is a timely breakthrough for Rajasthan as they have removed the danger man. A googly from Gopal. It lands around off and turns back in. Pandey moves back to play at it late but seems to have missed the ball. He loses his balance a bit after that and Samson is quick to dislodge the bails. He appeals and the square leg umpire goes upstairs as Manish is down. The replays roll in and they find that for a moment, Man
Strategic break! Rajasthan are pulling things back nicely here. At one stage it looked like Hyderabad will get to 190 but the loss of Warner followed by the wicket of a well-set Manish Pandey just before the break has put Hyderabad on the back foot. The hosts will now look to make the most of it. Shakib Al Hasan is the new man in.
15.1 : V Aaron to V Shankar, DROPPED BY SAMSON! But what a spectacular attempt by the young man. Back of a length delivery outside off, Shankar stays back to play at it with a straight bat but gets a big fat outside edge behind. It goes behind and Samson puts in a full length dive to his right. 15.5 : V Aaron to V Shankar, OUT! Another one bites the dust and Hyderabad are losing the plot here. Aaron runs his fingers over the seam of the ball and lets out a slower short ball around off, Shankar stays back to pull it across the line but fails to time it well. He ends up miscuing it in the air and Unadkat charges forward from deep mid-wicket to grab a tumbling catch. A good passage of play for the pink team.
Deepak Hooda is the new batsman in.
15.6 : V Aaron to Al Hasan, Shakib drives this through the covers. One run added to the total. 5 runs and a wicket from the over, a brilliant one by Aaron.

16.1 : J Unadkat to Al Hasan, Good attempt from Aaron but he fails to hold on to the catch. 18.1 : J Unadkat to Al Hasan, OUT! Unadkat strikes again. His slower delivery has consumed Shakib. The length is a bit on the shorter side around off, the Bangla star tries to pump it over wide long on but fails to connect well. Gopal moves across to his left from long on and makes no mistake this time. He throws the ball out in anguish after that. With this wicket, the chances of Hyderabad going past 150 look dicey.

It falls flush on the rope and the onfield umpire signals for it after consulting the third umpire. Hyderabad end on 160/8!
Exceptional bowling from Rajasthan in the second half to restrict Hyderabad to a par score. Although they didn't finish well as Varun Aaron conceded 18 runs in the final over. The touring team were going at a decent rate when the pair of Warner and Pandey were batting but then suddenly lost the plot. The Aussie played a very uncharacteristic knock which didn't feature a single boundary but Manish Pandey was in sublime touch as he stroked yet another half century.
Rajasthan were under pressure when the 75-run partnership was going. But then we witnessed a ripper of a catch from Steven Smith which turned things around for the home team. At the back end of the innings, the pink team picked up 5 wickets in the last five overs and never allowed Hyderabad off the hook. It was a complete team performance from the hosts with all the regular bowlers picking up two wickets each. Apart from doing well with the ball, Jaydev Unadkat was very active in the field as we
Jaydev Unadkat laughs and says pushing the keeper and taking the catch was a good moment. He knew the wicket would get slow later in the innings and they just stuck to their plan. He feels they assessed the wicket well having played a lot of games here. Admits they did not start well but then they turned up the game quickly. Admits that Smith was not happy at the start but was happy with the way they ended.
It looks like a good wicket to bat on and all those wickets going down were due to the poor shot selection and execution. The target of 161 is not too challenging but the pressure of do-or-die makes you do funny things. Let's see how Rajasthan respond...
