| Irish bowlers kept it tight during the Powerplay allowing Scotland to score just 39 runs in the first six overs. However, once the powerplay was done Ireland started leaking runs courtesy of some mediocre bowling. Curtis Campher kept things quiet at his end and was the pick of the bowlers for them with two wickets to his name. |

| Ireland lost both their openers inside the first five overs in their pursuit of 177. Ireland kept losing wickets at regular intervals and as a result, were reduced to 65-4 at the halfway mark.
