0.0 : Welcome to the first Sunday of World Cup 2019. Bangladesh kick off their campaign against South Africa. After Sri Lanka and Pakistan's defeat, Bangladesh would be looking not to repeat the losing start of Asian teams and will be hoping to kick-start their campaign with a win. South Africa, meanwhile would be looking to put their opening day defeat against England behind them and get their first win of this World Cup. It will be interesting to see if they make any changes in their playing XI from
Pitch report - Athar Ali says it looks a good surface at the moment, it is the same surface in which the first game was played on. Mentions the curator reckons there will be a little bit more carry today as it has been rolled and watered for the past two days. Informs there are a few foot marks on one side and the bowlers might just have a chance to exploit it.
TOSS - Up goes the coin and it lands in the favor of South Africa. They will bowl first.
Faf du Plessis says they are playing an extra seamer so they hope they can make use of the first 15 overs. Reckons they did well to restrict England to 300 and they were one partnership away from putting pressure on them. Informs they are playing a different side today, Amla is out due to an injury, Miller comes in. Also adds, Morris comes in to bring in some extra pace. Ends by saying you have to remind yourself and stay calm, it is a long tournament and they are oping to put a strong performan
Mashrafe Mortaza says he is fine. Mentions they are confident heading into this game, South Africa's loss does not matter to them. States he was not sure what to do as it is a used wicket, batting first is what he felt he should be doing. Informs everyone is fit to play, Tamim Iqbal is playing, all the important players are fit to play.

Out walk the two set of players for their respective national anthems. First up, it will be Bangladesh's national anthem followed by South Africa's. We aren't far away from the start.
Done and dusted with national anthems. South Africa skipper, Faf du Plessis is having a talk with his team in the huddle before they take their respective position in the field. Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar walk out to open the batting for Bangladesh. For South Africa, it will be Lungi Ngidi who will take the first new ball. The umpire says play and so we shall begin.

0.2 : L Ngidi to T Iqbal, Corrects his line and bowls it on the stumps, Tamim is off the mark as he works it through square leg for one.

4.3 : L Ngidi to S Sarkar, FOUR! Smashed! That has been dismissed! Short and on middle, Sarkar goes back and hammers the pull through mid-wicket. It races away to the fence.
4.4 : L Ngidi to S Sarkar, FOUR! Powered again! Short and outside off, this time Sarkar drags his pull through mid-wicket and bags another boundary. Consecutive ones. This was even better than the previous one.
4.5 : L Ngidi to S Sarkar, Ngidi bowls it fuller this time. Sarkar nicely plays it onto the ground. Good batting, putting away the bad balls and respecting the good balls.
4.6 : L Ngidi to S Sarkar, EDGY FOUR! That has come between the two slip fielders. Third boundary in the over. The change of angle almost does the trick for Ngidi. He comes from around the wicket and lands it on off, it straightens a touch. Sarkar pokes at it. The ball takes the outside edge and goes in between first slip and second. Both go after it half-heartedly till then though it sneaks through and goes to the third man fence.
5.1 : K Rabada to T Iqbal, Good length ball on the pads. It shapes away from the southpaw. Tamim looks to flick but gets hit on the front pad.
5.2 : K Rabada to T Iqbal, Pulls back his length and pitches it on off. The ball goes away with the angle. Tamim just leaves his bat hanging on off stump.
5.3 : K Rabada to T Iqbal, FIVE WIDES! The bouncer bounces too high! It is short on the body, Tamim ducks under it. The ball keeps rising and goes over Quinton de Kock and to the fence.

DRINKS! South Africa have come back well into the game after the Bangladesh openers were off to a flier. Two quick wickets have pulled things back and now South Africa are looking to choke the runs. Bangladesh's most reliable players are batting out there and they would hope the two continue. South Africa on the other hand, will know they need to get the two as quickly as possible.

What an outstanding performance by Bangladesh! They will be mighty pleased with where they stand in the game at the moment. After being inserted, it was their openers who set the tone for them as they got the Bangla Tigers off to a flier. The two fell in quick succession but then the experienced heads of Rahim and Shakib added a massive 142-run stand and that laid the foundation for a big score. Both got to their fifties. Not a lot to write about the South African bowling! They were dealt a blow early on as Ngidi suffered a hamstring injury which saw him walk off and not play any further part in the game. The rest were also quite inconsistent with their lines and lengths and were made to pay for it. Andile Phehlukwayo though was the pick of the bowlers as he was the most economical and also took two wickets. He was well supported by Imran Tahir who also scalped two.
331 is the target! It is a huge one! The wicket seems to be a good one to bat on but South Africa will need to bat well. They are coming on the back off a poor outing versus England and it will be interesting to see if their batters have recovered. Bangladesh, on the other hand, know if they bowl the right lines and lengths, they will come out on top. Who will win this game? Shakib Al Hasan says that he and Mushfiqur knew it was a good wicket and just wanted to build a partnership. He also adds that they were just looking to settle first and were confident about putting the bad balls away.
