0.0 : Hardik Pandya is in for a chat. Says that the boys have shown great character in the way they have played. Mentions that he is a hundred percent fit and is not too fussed about his own form as he says that it's all part of the game and he has more good days than the bad ones. Further stresses that it's all about believing in his own abilities. On comparisons between him and SKY, about their tattoos, he says that it's not a competition between him and SKY but yes, they both love tattoos.
As expected, 5 Indian players have been handed their debut caps. The five new faces will be Sanju Samson, Nitish Rana, Chetan Sakariya, Krishnappa Gowtham and Rahul Chahar. Congratulations to the new boys!
Hello, folks! Time for the third and final ODI of the series between Sri Lanka and India. The series has already been wrapped up by the Men in Blue and so, there is not a lot of play for, in the context of the series, but still, both teams have something to fight for, as India will be looking to display that their 'B' team can go to another country and whitewash the hosts comprehensively. Whereas, the Lankans have pride to play for, as they will want to end this series with a win and not allow I
With this being a dead rubber in terms of the series, we should expect India to make a couple of changes and hand chances to youngsters and there should be some debuts today as well. For Sri Lanka, the stakes are slightly higher, as they will want to pouch the 10 points of the World Cup Super League and they might look to send their best eleven. Regardless of whatever changes both sides make, we hope that this game replicates the emotion and thrill that the second ODI served us!
Uh oh! Looks like Sri Lanka's problems are going from bad to worse. One of their best performers for them in the last 2 games, WANINDU HASARANGA, has been ruled out of this game, as he has suffered a muscle tear. You know the saying - when it rains, it pours!
TOSS - We are all in readiness for the flip of the coin. Both the captains are out in the middle and India wins the toss. Shikhar Dhawan does his iconic thigh five, as he is happy to have won the toss and INDIA HAS ELECTED TO BAT FIRST!
Shikhar Dhawan, the Indian captain, says that they haven't batted first yet and want to put up a good total on board. States that they have made six changes, including 5 debutants- Samson, Sakariya, Rana, Rahul Chahar, and Gowtham. Navdeep Saini also comes into the team. Adds that they are motivated and want to finish on a high leading to the T20 World Cup and the youngsters are excited about this opportunity.
Dasun Shanaka, the skipper of Sri Lanka, says that the wicket is dry and the wicket will hold a bit, as the game goes on. States that they have 3 changes to their side, as Kasun Rajitha, Wanindu Hasaranga and Lakshan Sandakan are out and Praveen Jayawickrama, Akila Dananjaya and Ramesh Mendis come in. Feels that they are on the right track at the moment.
Sri Lanka (Playing XI) - Avishka Fernando, Minod Bhanuka (WK), Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Dhananjaya de Silva, Charith Asalanka, Dasun Shanaka (C), Ramesh Mendis (In place of Lakshan Sandakan), Chamika Karunaratne, Akila Dananjaya (In place of Wanindu Hasaranga), Dushmantha Chameera, Praveen Jayawickrama (In place of Kasun Rajitha).

Right. We are ready for the action to begin here. The Sri Lankan players have made their way out into the middle now. Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw walk out too, to open the innings for the Men in Blue. Dushmantha Chameera to begin with the ball. Here he comes...
Who will bowl from the other end?
0.2 : Dushmantha Chameera to Shikhar Dhawan, FIVE WIDES. The keeper had no chance there. On a length, outside leg, the ball kept swinging away from the batter, who left it, and the keeper, who tried to stop the ball, but in vain. The ball runs away to the fine leg fence.
Dushmantha Chameera to Shikhar Dhawan, On a length, angling across the southpaw, Shikhar Dhawan makes a well calculated leave.
0.3 : Dushmantha Chameera to Shikhar Dhawan, Short of a length, around off, Shikhar Dhawan goes back and taps this to point.
0.4 : Dushmantha Chameera to Shikhar Dhawan, Closer to the off pole, on a length, Dhawan plays this one to the cover region.
0.5 : Dushmantha Chameera to Shikhar Dhawan, Shikhar Dhawan gets off the mark too! On a length, around off, this is guided to third man for a single.
0.6 : Dushmantha Chameera to Prithvi Shaw, FOUR! Not what Shaw was looking to do, but he gets a boundary nonetheless. Around off, on a length, Prithvi Shaw looks to defend, but the ball takes the outer half of the blade, goes past the first slip and keeper and runs away to the third man fence.
Who will bowl from the other end? It's going to be Akila Dananjaya.
1.1 : Akila Dananjaya to Shikhar Dhawan, FOUR! Easily done. Dhawan starts the over off with a boundary. Tossed up, outside off, Shikhar Dhawan had room to free his arms and he lofts this one over covers for a boundary.

1.5 : Akila Dananjaya to Shikhar Dhawan, NOT OUT! Sri Lanka waste a review here. Tossed up, outside off, Dhawan prods forward and pads this one away to the off side. There is a loud appeal from the bowler, for LBW, but the umpire does not even flinch. Just as the timer is about to go off, Sri Lanka opt to take the review. Since there is no shot offered, no Ultra Edge is needed. Ball Tracker shows that the ball is missing the wickets. The hosts lose a review in the second over.
SL have taken DRS. The bowler seems confident about the LBW shout and after a lot discussion, Dasun Shanaka does take the review. However, the replay shows that the impact was outside off but the ball had straightened and would have gone on to miss the off pole. An error in judgement from SL.
1.6 : Akila Dananjaya to Shikhar Dhawan, Another loud appeal for LBW but the umpire is still not interested! 2.3 : Dushmantha Chameera to Shikhar Dhawan, OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! The captain of India has departed in the third over and this is a top start by Sri Lanka. Dushmantha Chameera has been leading this Lankan pace attack for a while now, and he has struck here early. On a length, angling away from the southpaw, Shikhar Dhawan looks to drive this one, but the ball takes the outside edge and goes to the keeper, where Minod Bhanuka takes an easy catch. Chameera is pumped up and this is just the s

UPDATE 17:08 local (11:38 GMT) - Well, looks like we are out of lady luck at the moment. It seems that it has started pouring down heavily and the ground is almost entirely covered, at the moment. Looks like we are in for a rather long delay. Stay tuned as we bring you all the updates.
Updating you with news about some other games going around the globe, at the moment. Zimbabwe and Bangladesh are locking horns in the second T20I of a 3-game T20I series. On the back of a cracking 73 by Wesley Madhevere, Zimbabwe have post a total of 166 at the end of their innings. Some handy cameos from Myers and Burl also helped. For Bangladesh, Shoriful Islam was the pick of the lot, snaring 3 to his name. Should be a cracking run chase. Check out our coverage of that game, but keep an eye h
UPDATE 17:15 local (11:45 GMT) - Good news, folks! It seems that the rain has stopped pouring down and the covers are going off as well. The pitch is still slightly waterlogged and hence, might take some more time, before we get going again. Stay tuned.
UPDATE 17:55 local (12:25 GMT) - The rain has stopped quite a while back, but the groundstaff continue their mop-up job. No overs have been lost, so far, but we are closing in on that territory, if there are some more delays. Doesn't look likely though. Shouldn't be long before we are back again.
UPDATE 18:01 local (12:31 GMT) - Looks like we finally have some concrete and good news for ya'll, folks! Play will resume at 18:30 local (13:00 GMT), it will also be a 47-overs-a-side game, providing the rain does not come back for another serving. There are revised playing conditions as well. Two bowlers can complete the quota of 10 overs, while 3 bowlers can bowl 9 overs.
Right. The Sri Lankan players have made their way out into the middle. Suryakumar Yadav and Manish Pandey are out too. Dushmantha Chameera to begin after the break.

24.3 : Hardik Pandya arrives into the middle.
24.5 : Praveen Jayawickrama to Manish Pandey, OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Praveen breaks this stand, shortly after the rain break. Another opportunity wasted for Pandey, it seems. He walks back shaking his head and he will know, that he had to continue and not lose his wicket at this stage. What a dream delivery bowled by Praveen, gives it some air and tosses it outside off, and the ball turns away. Pandey looks to drive it but gets deceived by the slow pace and the turn and ends up getting an outside ed
24.6 : Praveen Jayawickrama to Hardik Pandya, Flighted again around off, Hardik pushes it with the spin towards covers and gets the single.

25.4 : Dushmantha Chameera to Hardik Pandya, Length ball outside off, Hardik decides to leave this one.
25.5 : Dushmantha Chameera to Hardik Pandya, FOUR! Cracking shot by Pandya! Quicker delivery, tailing into the pads and Hardik stands tall and whips it wide of mid on and into the fence.

28.1 : Praveen Jayawickrama to Hardik Pandya, Floated around off, HP prods ahead, looks to play, but seeing the turn on offer, he pulls out of the shot.
28.2 : Praveen Jayawickrama to Hardik Pandya, Arm ball, around off and middle, defended well.
28.3 : Praveen Jayawickrama to Hardik Pandya, OUT! LBW! Praveen Jayawickrama takes another one and the review sends Hardik back to the hut. Tossed up, on middle, Pandya looks to play inside the line, thinking that the ball will not turn as much, but the ball spins in, missing the pad and hits Pandya on his back thigh pad. An appeal but the umpire shakes his head. Sri Lanka opt for the review this time. Ultra Edge shows no participation of the bat. Ball Tracker rolls in and.....THREE REDS! Pandya
Sri Lanka have taken a review for LBW. The onfield umpire had given it NOT OUT but Sri Lanka are convinced otherwise. Pitching in line, impact in line and wickets hitting! Great review as it was important to get rid of the dangerman Hardik. Kumar Dharmasena reverses his decision to OUT!
28.4 : Praveen Jayawickrama to Nitish Rana, On middle, nudged to the leg side.
28.5 : Praveen Jayawickrama to Nitish Rana, First runs in ODI cricket for Nitish! Around middle, flicked through mid-wicket for one.

29.5 : Dasun Shanaka to Nitish Rana, A slower ball, on middle and leg, easily nurdled through square leg, for one.
29.6 : Dasun Shanaka to Suryakumar Yadav, Outside off, on a length, slower ball, SKY chips this to the left of mid off, on the bounce.
Bowling change. Akila Dananjaya is back into the attack!
30.1 : Akila Dananjaya to Nitish Rana, Tossed up, outside off, guided to backward point, for one.
30.2 : Akila Dananjaya to Suryakumar Yadav, EDGY! Floated, around off and middle, SKY looks to clip it to the leg side, but the ball takes the outer half of the blade and lobs, just ahead of the short cover fielder.
30.3 : Akila Dananjaya to Suryakumar Yadav, Eased through mid-wicket and the strike is rotated.
30.4 : Akila Dananjaya to Nitish Rana, Loopy, outside off, pushed through covers, for one.
30.5 : Akila Dananjaya to Suryakumar Yadav, On middle and leg, worked to the man at short mid-wicket.
30.6 : Akila Dananjaya to Suryakumar Yadav, OUT! LBW! What a review this is. Superb from Sri Lanka. They have come out swinging, after the rain break. Suryakumar Yadav was looking very dangerous prior to the rain break, but after that, has looked shaky and he loses his wicket here. This is again given a lot of air, around off, SKY comes ahead and looks to defend this one out, but misses and the ball seems to have hit the pad first, then bat. An appeal but the umpire shakes his head. Shanaka str
31.1 : Dasun Shanaka to Nitish Rana, Around off, pushed to the off side.
0.0 : Krishnappa Gowtham comes out.

31.4 : Dasun Shanaka to Krishnappa Gowtham, Around off, pushed to covers, where Charith Asalanka misfields and the batters take one. A bit of charity from Charith!
31.5 : Dasun Shanaka to Nitish Rana, On a short length, around off, Rana leaves it be.
31.6 : Dasun Shanaka to Nitish Rana, Good length on off, played to mid off.
0.0 : Sri Lanka have reviewed the LBW decision which was originally given NOT OUT. The bowler, Akila Dananjaya looks absolutely sure and Shanaka takes the review right away. Very close but the ball did hit the pad first and after that everyone knew that it would go on to hit the middle and off stump. The onfield umpire is signaled to change his call to OUT and SKY walks back in disappointment. Again, excellent review. This is probably the biggest wicket at this stage of the game. Sri Lanka will look t
32.1 : Akila Dananjaya to Krishnappa Gowtham, Floated around off, worked through mid on for a single.
32.2 : Akila Dananjaya to Nitish Rana, Full toss, around off, knocked through mid-wicket, for one.
32.3 : Akila Dananjaya to Krishnappa Gowtham, OUT! LBW! Another one bites the dust. Sri Lanka are on top here. Bowls a loopy full toss, on middle, Gowtham looks to play the paddle shot to the leg side, but misses. This looks plumb. The umpire agrees too. KG takes the review, more in desperation, than anything. Ultra Edge shows no bat and Ball Tracker ensures that Krishnappa Gowtham is sent packing, as it shows three reds. India lose the review too and are slipping further in this game.
Who comes out now? It is Rahul Chahar!
32.4 : Akila Dananjaya to Rahul Chahar, On middle, flicked to the leg side for one.
32.5 : Akila Dananjaya to Nitish Rana, OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Excellent bowling and this is another wicket for the Lankans. Rana, who was the last recognized batter for India, has to go back. Another huge wicket and India are 8 down here. Floated, around off, Nitish Rana makes room and looks to drive this through the cover region. The ball turns away, takes the outside edge and Minod Bhanuka does not need two invitations to accept this chance. Sri Lanka will be looking to take the final two wicket
Who will come in next? It's Navdeep Saini in at number 10!
32.6 : Akila Dananjaya to Navdeep Saini, Outside off, NS looks to have a poke at this, but misses.
33.1 : Dasun Shanaka to Rahul Chahar, Short ball on middle, Chahar taps it on the leg side off the back foot for one.
0.0 : Review time. The decision was OUT! On the replay, we can that the ball missed the bat and would have gone on to hit the sticks. The review was only taken as this was the last recognized batting pair but unfortunately, it doesn't work out. Krishnappa Gowtham is a goner!
33.2 : Dasun Shanaka to Navdeep Saini, Fuller around off, kept out nicely by Saini.

0.0 : Praveen Jayawickrama returns. One slip in place. 8-0-53-3 so far.

36.5 : Akila Dananjaya to Rahul Chahar, Flighted again on middle, watchfully blocked out.

Bowling change. Dushmantha Chameera comes back into the attack!
39.1 : Dushmantha Chameera to Rahul Chahar, Around off, pushed to covers. The batters take one, as Rahul Chahar was ball watching. The fielder has a shy at the non-striker's end and hits too, but there is no one backing up and the batters take two more. The third umpire is called to verify if this was a run out, but replays show that Rahul's bat was in.
39.2 : Dushmantha Chameera to Navdeep Saini, Punched to deep covers for a couple of runs.
0.0 : Third-umpire review for a RUN OUT! Good direct hit but the batsman had grounded his bat just in time and NOT OUT is the signal on the big screen. In the end all the throw resulted in was overthrows.

42.4 : Chamika Karunaratne to Rahul Chahar, OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! A good bumper on middle and Chahar finally tries to hook after ducking down a lot previously, only manages to top edge it really high and just past the wicket on the leg side. 43.1 : Dushmantha Chameera to Navdeep Saini, OUT! CAUGHT! That's the end of the Indian innings. Chameera bowls a stinging bouncer into the body and there's nothing much Saini could do about it, really. Tries to fend it away but the ball gets the glove and pops up towards point and Avishka Fernando runs in to take a simple catch. INDIA END ON 225!
What an inspired bowling display this has been by the Lankans here. Their spinners have spun the Indian batters in a web and have bundled them out for 225, which is a rather tame score. If not for Navdeep Saini and Rahul Chahar towards the end, they might have not even crossed 200.
Right then. 226 needed for Sri Lanka to avoid a whitewashing at the hands of India. They will believe and will come out, looking to take the final game. The visitors have a rather inexperienced bowling attack and they will want to leave a mark, in this game. Will Sri Lanka chase this down easily? Or will India make things harder for the hosts? Join us for the run chase shortly.
India's batting can be cut into two halves, perfectly. They started off slightly poorly as Dhawan went back quickly. But then, Shaw and Samson raised a 74-run stand, before Shaw missed out on his half-century, getting out on 49. Samson, followed suit, as he lost out on his debut half-century, giving an easy catch when he was on 46. Yadav and Pandey were looking assured, but then rain decided to pay a visit and after play resumed after the break, it seemed that the Indians lost their rhythm, and
Sri Lanka will be pleased with how they have bowled in this game. Yes, they were not at their best, before the rain break, but when they came out after that, they let none of the Indian batters survive. From a position of strength, India slipped and were reeling, all thanks to the spin duo of Akila Dananjaya and Praveen Jayawickrama. They both shared 6 wickets and ran through the middle order of India, after the rain break. Dushmantha Chameera got a wicket early on and then, the last wicket.
