With Rajasthan and Bangalore both picking up wins in their respective last games, it's tight in there. Hyderabad are 6th in the table with 6 points, but the three teams above them are on 8 points, having played at least a game more. Delhi gained some confidence with a win against Kolkata last time out and come in
The Warner-Bairstow duo has been the key for Hyderabad, but it's no coincidence that the few times they failed to deliver, the team has suffered. Their middle order is largely untested still and it might just be called into action once again in this contest. Delhi are looking good, with Shikhar Dhawan finding some much-needed form as well. Combine that with their potent bowling attack and skipper Shreyas Iyer's good touch, and the visitors just might cause problems for the home side. Should be a

He fires it full and wide outside off, Munro reaches out to smash it through the off side but gets a nick behind. Bairstow takes a sharp catch and appeals. The umpire's finger follows and the Kiwi will have to make the long walk back. Delhi in some trouble here now, they've already lost three wickets.
Rishabh Pant walks into the middle next. Vijay Shankar is brought into the attack as well.
8.1 : V Shankar to S Iyer, Full and straight from Shankar, straightaway attacks the stumps. Iyer drives it to long on after getting behind the line. One run collected.
8.2 : V Shankar to R Pant, Takes some pace off this. Just ahead of a length outside off, Pant gets off the mark with an uppish drive to long off. Single to the total.

Strategic break. Also, Rashid Khan is into the bowling attack now.

9.2 : R Khan to R Pant, Turning in on middle and leg, Pant tries to work it on the leg side but it goes off his pads. One run taken. It actually goes off the inside edge first.
9.3 : R Khan to S Iyer, Peach! Rashid flights it nicely around off, lands it just behind a driving length, Iyer is half forward to defend but gets beaten past the outside edge.
9.4 : R Khan to S Iyer, FOUR! A bit cheeky, but he's meant it fully. Good shot. Extremely full outside off, Iyer opens the bat face and slices it through short third man. It's placed quite fine, so will run away to the boundary line.

10.6 : V Shankar to R Pant, FOUR! Streaky runs for Rishabh Pant. Full and wide outside off, his eyes light up. So he throws everything at it, only to get a thick edge. It speeds through the vacant slip cordon and away to the third man boundary behind.

11.2 : R Khan to S Iyer, Another defensive shot on offer. Iyer keeps it out safely.
11.3 : R Khan to S Iyer, An appeal for a leg before, turned down. Was quite close, but probably just missing the off stump. Served on middle and off, it turns away. Iyer looks to defend but it goes off his back pad and past Bairstow. The batsmen take a leg bye.
11.4 : R Khan to R Pant, Pant moves inside the line of this full ball and works it through mid-wicket for a single.
11.5 : R Khan to S Iyer, Fullish outside the line of off stump, Iyer plays and misses.
11.6 : R Khan to S Iyer, FOUR! Nice way to end the over. Short and in line of the stumps, Iyer rocks back and pulls it with complete control over mid-wicket. Nobody out there in the deep, so the Delhi skipper will pick up a boundary.
Sandeep Sharma on to bowl now.
12.1 : S Sharma to R Pant, On a length on middle and leg, cuts back in, catches Pant high on the thigh pad as he tries to put bat on ball. It falls on the leg side and the batsmen take a leg bye.

12.3 : S Sharma to S Iyer, Sharp bumper on middle, Shreyas somehow pulls it to deep mid-wicket. Rashid out in the deep is quick to the ball and he fires a direct hit at the bowler's end all the way from the deep. A single is taken.
12.4 : S Sharma to R Pant, FOUR! Another good effort from the Afghan, in vain though this time. Back of a length outside off, Pant slaps the cut through cover-point. Khan out in the deep scampers to his right, tries to stop it with a dive but is unable to this time.
12.5 : S Sharma to R Pant, Short of a good length around off, Rishabh offers a firm punch towards mid off and rushes to the other end.
12.6 : S Sharma to S Iyer, Walks a step across, gets behind the line and turns it through the vacant mid-wicket area for a single.
13.1 : R Khan to S Iyer, Loopy leg break, full and outside off, Iyer prods forward to defend.
13.2 : R Khan to S Iyer, Off the edge again, a quick single is taken. Iyer tries to defend but it goes down to short third man. The batsmen pinch a quick run.

13.6 : R Khan to R Pant, Goes deep inside the crease, waits for the shorter ball to come to him before pulling it to deep mid-wicket for a single.
14.1 : S Sharma to R Pant, Well bowled. Hits the yorker around leg, Pant digs it out down to long on and picks up a single.
14.2 : S Sharma to S Iyer, Sharma sees the batsman staying leg side and hence tries to follow him down there. Ends up spraying it too wide and Shreyas misses his flick shot. Called a wide!
S Sharma to S Iyer, Short in length delivery, outside off, Shreyas attempts to play the pull shot but fails to connect.
14.3 : S Sharma to S Iyer, This is smart bowling. Showing great control over his art, Sandeep. Follows up the shorter one with a yorker on middle, Iyer squeezes it out to covers and takes one.
14.4 : S Sharma to R Pant, Angles across a very full ball wide outside off, Pant forces it down off the inner half of the bat to long on for a single.
14.5 : S Sharma to S Iyer, A slower delivery, full and on the pads at 112.6 kph, Shreyas knocks it down to long on for a couple of runs. 50-run stand comes up, it has taken 41 balls to come! Surely, this pair would like to better this one.
14.6 : S Sharma to S Iyer, A low full toss on middle, Shreyas pushes it down to long on for a single.
Strategic break. The going has been a bit slow from Delhi after losing Colin Munro but the current pair has the ability to up the scoring ante. Five more overs to go and Delhi will try to push their score close to 180, at least. Hyderabad have bowled decently so far and have the overs of Bhuvneshwar (2), Khaleel(1), Sandeep(1) and Rashid(1) left to bowl at the death. Expect a good battle between bat and ball. Bhuvi is into the attack now after the mini-break.
15.1 : B Kumar to S Iyer, Strays a bit with his line, spills it around leg. Iyer attempts to tickle it fine but it goes off his thigh pad. Bairstow does well to dive to his left and make a half-stop. The batsmen take a leg bye.
15.2 : B Kumar to R Pant, Short of a good length outside off, Pant slaps it over covers for just a single. There is a man in the deep.
15.3 : B Kumar to S Iyer, Well bowled. Takes the Delhi skipper by surprise. At 140 clicks, Bhuvi bangs it in short and takes Iyer by surprise. There's no room to free the arms, so all Iyer can do is get a soft top edge on his attempted pull shot which falls close to him.
15.4 : B Kumar to S Iyer, Another superb fielding effort. This time from Shankar. On the shorter side of the length, outside off, Iyer slaps it through the covers. Vijay moves to his right and stops it with a good slide. Two runs to the total.
15.5 : B Kumar to S Iyer, OUT! GONE! This is good piece of bowling by Bhuvneshwar Kumar. It's the change-up once more, Kumar bowls it short and this time Iyer looks to play the ramp shot. Can only manage an edge, however, as it goes behind and Bairstow takes his third catch of the innings. Partnership of 56 is broken. Delhi would have wanted these two to finish the innings.
Chris Morris is the new man in.
15.6 : B Kumar to C Morris, Off the mark. Morris opens the face of the bat and guides it to third man for a single.
Khaleel Ahmed returns.
16.1 : K Ahmed to C Morris, The batsman has pushed it to the cover region. One run added to the total.
16.2 : K Ahmed to R Pant, OUT c Deepak Hooda b Khaleel Ahmed. Delhi Capitals have lost their fifth wicket.

Strategic break. The going has been a bit slow from Delhi after losing Colin Munro but the current pair has the ability to up the scoring ante. Axar Patel from backward point moves to his left and takes a good diving catch.
Strategic break. Another wicket down for Hyderabad. Delhi are creeping back into the game, and growing stronger in position, but Warner's presence in the middle will keep them wary and he is undoubtedly the key if the hosts are to win. There are some hitters left to come, so anything could happen. Hyderabad need 55 runs in 28 balls. Also, Vijay Shankar is the new batsman in.
15.3 : K Paul to D Warner, Length delivery on middle and leg, Warner works it in front of mid-wicket and takes a quick run.
15.4 : K Paul to V Shankar, Angling in on middle and leg, full in length, flicked away on the leg side for a single.
15.5 : K Paul to D Warner, Quite slow through the air, hurled outside off, Warner is too early into the shot and he edges it behind. But it's so slow that the edge doesn't carry to the keeper. Everybody is having a laugh.
15.6 : K Paul to D Warner, Length ball outside off, cut to point by Davey for one run. Excellent spell from Paul comes to an end, he finishes with figures of 4-0-17-3.
Kagiso Rabada is brought back on to bowl.
16.1 : K Rabada to D Warner, Fifty up for David Warner, his 40th in the Indian T20 League. It's taken him a while to get here, and now he'll want to kick on and finish things. He lofts this full ball towards long on and takes a couple of runs.
16.2 : K Rabada to D Warner, OUT! Kagiso Rabada has got the danger man. Hyderabad in real trouble here. The set batsman and Hyderabad's best bet has been dismissed here. The Protea takes the pace off this one and bowls it full, Warner clears his front leg and looks to go big downtown. Mistimes it and skies it towards Iyer at mid off, who takes a safe catch settling under the ball after going back.
Deepak Hooda next out to bat.
16.3 : K Rabada to V Shankar, OUT! Two in two for Rabada! Is this the game for Delhi? Exceptional bowling, this. He hits the deck hard this time at great pace, Shankar looks to pull but the bounce gets too big on him. Ends up getting a top edge which balloons behind. Pant moves to his right, gets under the ball and gobbles it up in front of short third man.
Abhishek Sharma to bat next for Hyderabad. He will face the hat-trick ball.
16.4 : K Rabada to A Sharma, No hat-trick for Rabada, but he's still got a smile on his face. Sharma lofts it down towards long on for a single.
16.5 : K Rabada to D Hooda, Perfect! A yorker speared on the stumps, Hooda just about manages to keep it out.
16.6 : K Rabada to D Hooda, A short delivery which has been pulled away down to fine leg. The batsmen have run through for a single. A game-changing over truly, two wickets and 4 runs from it.
Chris Morris called back into the attack.
17.1 : C Morris to D Hooda, That's gone in the air but not enough distance on it. Hooda heaves this over mid-wicket. It falls safely and Paul out in the deep moves to his right to mop things up. The batsmen collect a brace.
17.2 : C Morris to D Hooda, OUT! Bowled 'em! It's Chris Morris this time who's on the money, he's following up Rabada's good work. Arrows the yorker on leg stump, Deepak Hooda has no idea what to do about it. Too good for him, the leg pole goes for a walk.
Rashid Khan enters the field to bat.
17.3 : C Morris to R Khan, OUT! Gone first ball! Now it's Morris who's on a hat-trick. Back of a length delivery as the big all-rounder hits the deck hard, Khan takes the pull on and hits it over mid-wicket. Straight down Keemo Paul's throat who takes it safely. From 101/2, Hyderabad are 110/7. Unbelievable.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the next batsman for the hosts. He will face the hat-trick ball.
17.4 : C Morris to A Sharma, Good length delivery in the channel outside off, cut through point for a single. No hat-trick for Morris.
17.5 : C Morris to B Kumar, Goes really full on off stump, Bhuvneshwar pushes it to covers and takes one.
17.6 : C Morris to A Sharma, OUT! Third of the over for Chris Morris. Hyderabad have just crumbled here. Unreal collapse. Morris comes from around the wicket and bowls it full on the stumps, slower in pace. Sharma is early into the shot and ends up handing a high, yet relatively simple chance to Paul at cover. So, five wickets for 8 runs in the last two overs. Unreal.
Sandeep Sharma walks out to have a go with the bat.
18.1 : K Rabada to S Sharma, Outside the line of off stump, Sandeep plays it through point and gets to the other end.
18.2 : K Rabada to B Kumar, Bhuvneshwar tries to make room, so Rabada follows him with a well-direct bouncer. The batter can't make any sort of connection.
18.3 : K Rabada to B Kumar, Full on the stumps, Bhuvi hits it straight back. Rabada tries to cheekily deflect the ball on the stumps at his end with his left foot but it goes wide. A single is taken.
18.4 : K Rabada to S Sharma, Wide! Short ball but it's too short, wide signalled. And since Pant can't collect it cleanly, the batsmen take a bye.
K Rabada to B Kumar, OUT! Rabada has his third of the night. Will Hyderabad even survive the 20 overs? A short ball, Bhuvneshwar Kumar backs away and tries to slap it. But it goes off the top edge and Rabada runs to the ball at the striker's end and takes it himself, just about avoiding Pant who also comes in to take the catch.
Khaleel Ahmed is the last man in.
18.5 : K Rabada to K Ahmed, OUT! Take a bow, Kagiso Rabada. He's wrapped Hyderabad up before the game even goes into the final over. Fires an accurate yorker on the stumps, Khaleel can't do much about it. The furniture behind is rattled and that's the end of this contest. DELHI WIN BY 39 RUNS!
A great performance from Delhi. No better way to sum it up. This could be one of the best bowling displays in the history of the competition. Three consecutive defeats on the bounce for the hosts. Chasing 156, Warner and Bairstow once again got their side off to a good start, adding 72 between them before the Englishman departed. What followed was unimaginable. From 101/2 in the 16th over, they got bundled out for 116 before the 19th over even ended. Barring the two openers, nobody even got into
Delhi will be mighty pleased with this performance. They only had a decent score to defend, so execution was key. Bairstow and Warner's start would have put most teams off, but when you have the likes of Rabada, Morris and Paul in the team, anything is possible. These three bowlers shared the 10 wickets between them. Paul kicked things off getting Bairstow and Williamson, then Rabada and Morris cleaned house in the death overs. Paul finished with 3 along with Morris, while Rabada got 4 to his na
Hyderabad skipper, Kane Williamson says that their bowlers did a great job but admits that they didn't get going in the second half. Terms it as an unfortunate performance and credits Delhi for playing well. Mentions that there is no room for complacency in this tournament and feels that they didn't execute their plans well. States that Delhi adapted well to the demands of the surface and used their change of pace to good effect.
Kagiso Rabada says that they had a game plan and they just stuck to it and hoped it to go their way. On his variations, Rabada replies that it's been a trend so far and you have to vary your pace to succeed in this part of the world. Lauds Keemo Paul and Chris Morris for doing a brilliant job. On the leadership role in the squad, Rabada thinks and says that he has the responsibility on his shoulders and he just wants to do his best and do everything for his team. Talking about his catches, Rabad
Delhi skipper, Shreyas Iyer says that he and Rishabh Pant had decided that they will try to stick around for as long as possible and one of them will take charge due to the slowness of the surface. Mentions that Axar Patel and Keemo Paul's cameos helped them get to a fighting total. Ends by saying that they have good team spirit and wants his side to continue having that.
Man of the Match, Keemo Paul says that it is a dream come true for him and thanks everyone for the support. On playing the Indian T20 League, Paul says that it is the biggest league in the world and he just wanted to enjoy it. On his slower deliveries, Keemo says that the back-of-the-hand deliveries came out pretty nicely and it was all about adjusting to the pitch and the conditions. Regarding his batting and the big six that he hit, KP says that he enjoys his batting. Ends by thanking everyone
We're done with this one, but Indian T20 League action continues. Next up, on Monday, we have Mumbai welcoming Bangalore to the Wankhede Stadium at 2000 local (1430 GMT). Do join in for that one. Goodnight and take care!
